10th AE is a totaly cosmetic package, it does add some weight since it has every option.

10 is mechanically the same as a regular S4 TII

differences are cosmetic

crystal white paint/black leather interior
10AE rotor badge on fender
10AE insignia on steering wheel
10AE insignia on key
bronze tinted side and rear glass
white framed taillights
white rear license plate frame
white moulding
white MAZDA and RX-7 badges on rear
white wheels

that's all i can think of now.
maybe there's more but my car wasn't stock when i got it...

*edit: someone beat me to it

10th AE is slower due to added weight, it has all the bells and whistles no other 2nd gen had.

lol that's true, I used to have one that was more or less stock and I have to say, the slightly modded Sport I have now is probably just as fast..

..then again, the AE was stock and man, what a sweet ride it was..

they are definitely nicer, the comfort factor is always nice unless you really want that extra .1 at the track.

the AE also had healdight washer sprayers and a more sophisticated alarm system with movement sensors in the coat hooks behind the seats and also in the dome lamp.

Actually from what I understand they're glass breakage sensors, not motion. They listen for the sound frequency of glass breaking. I've had a couple of 10th AE's, one had them, one didn't.

You might as well change your name and start over now. Learn to recognize and respect those members that have come before you and whose knowledge is far superior to yours because one day you will be dumbfounded by a problem and you will sit hopelessly in front of the monitor waiting for an answer... but it will never come BECAUSE YOU WERE AN ******* to everyone in the beginning.

There are ten people in the second gen forums that you do not **** off to. Karack is one of them, do yourself a favor and learn the other 9 before you choose your new screen name.

to Karack and the other 9 gods of the 2nd gen forum (you know who you are)

Many people have cloned these cars. ALL are turbo. The Best way to tell is to look at the paint code on the firewall VIN plate if it isnt UC it isnt real.

Actually from what I understand they're glass breakage sensors, not motion. They listen for the sound frequency of glass breaking. I've had a couple of 10th AE's, one had them, one didn't.
It is likely that the one without was a clone. I have seen some VERY elaborate attempts to clone the 10th AE but I have never seen one with the corect VIN plate. In fact every clone I have seen did not have the glass break sensors.
