10th AE TII value??

Im looking at buying an A.E. There asking 1300 but the car need to be restored. It still runs with some type of alternator problem. The interior is all there with the obvious worn leather seats. In anyones opinion would one of these cars be worth buying and restoring? I dont want to modify it, I want to restore it to orginal condition. Does anyone see the value of these cars going up to make it worth all trouble and money put into it?

Thanks
Curtis

offer him a G for it and if he takes it id say it was worth it does it have rust

as for restoring it if the body was clean and repainted and the interior was nice and the motor had a rebuild i bet you could probly get 3.5-5 grand for it

lately 10thAE in stock form have been commanding about $500-1000 more than any other 88 Turbo...

So they are not really an investment.

I going tomorrow to look at and maybe buy it. He says that the rust is only surface, and there is no paint bubbles or anything worse anywhere. My biggest worry is going to be under the battery and master cylinder area. But he one good thing is its complete with working air, smog and complete interior. Thats somthing that seems to be getting harder to find these days.

Is your goal to restore the car and make an attempt to profit out of it, or even break even??? If it is, I suggest Real Estate.

Well if it's missing any of the 10th Anniversary specific parts like badges, keys, mats, steering wheel, etc. then you're SOL trying to find new ones to 'restore' unless you can get a nice used item from a forum member.

It has all the badges steering wheel everything except the key. No, actually Im planning on keeping it for a long time. No, im not looking for an investment, I just wanted someones opinion on what these cars would be worth in about 10-15 years.(Trust me I bulit and raced an 86 na ITS in scca road racing for about 4 years I know all about dumping money into somthing ill never get back). I ended up paying 900 for it, the body (except for the paint) would be perfect but it does have a dent just behind drivers side door. The interior is also in pretty good shape except for the drivers side seat. All in all Ive had rx7's with a 100k miles that was in worse shape than this one. This is the first turbo ive had or drove, if this car has as much power with 165000 Id love to have one 1650 miles on it!
