10ae
i was driving today and i see a white 10ae sitting on a lift in a used car parking lot. I hit a uturn and pulled up i got out and a old man approached me . i asked him how much for the white rx7 on the lft he said 5k but the motor isnt running right. then he proceeded to tell me that there in the process of rebuilding the motor and after that he will sell it 8k cash. he has a couple of 7's there all hooked up and he wouldnt finance any of them and they were all 5k cash he had liek a used car parking lot full of imports that had mods to them and he would finance those but not the 7's / i thought to myself this is odd/ basically what im wondering is it worth 5k for the 10ae with the motor "not running right" or am i wasting my time / he just kept saying all theses rx7's are hot rods. wtf

my friend just bought a cherry red NA for 5k but it was worth it. The body on it was PRISTINE, like better than a new 7. It was pretty much built for AutoX, but I would feel bad doing anything to this car it was so nice. It had a Borla exhaust (which shot some fire) and some nice rims. It also had some adjustable shocks and springs, I forget what brand. That car, unless it is built like the one I discribed is worth half that running good. Since that car's engine is "running bad" its worth less than that. So I'm guessing the most that car could possibly be worth is about $2000, and that's if the engine doesn't really need to be rebuilt.

Mine cost $28k from the dealer, and I bought it for $7500 with... well, look at the sig. 5k is way too much for any fc with a bad motor. Although, I did have a dream that resembles your exact situation. Weird....

Uhh like everyone said 5k is wayyy too much. That guy is stupid. I paid 7k for my ae, BUT it had a lot of mods and fresh rebuild. All of which were done right and all done at Rick's Rotary (overpriced guy, but he does **** the right way) I have the receipt book too over 20k in stuff for it. Previous owner didn't know much about the car, but he put out the cash to the right guy And it's really rare to find any TII in my area.. 5k for a crappy ae...haha funny. I'd go backhand that guy and say "goodluck finding some sucker for that car"
