0psi no boost checklist '91 TII
All of a sudden without warning my turbo has stopped making power. Engine will idle ok. Engine revs fine. However, there is no positive pressure being made.
It'll go from 16-17" vacuum to 0" vacuum, but build no boost.
Notes:
-EMS = MicroTech LT-8 so that tosses out the stock ECU problems and pressure sensor. Doesn't need the AFM due to the MAP sensor so toss any TID idea. However I am still using the stock airbox and the AFM is in place, just unplugged to help keep boost levels down.
-3" DP/MP/N1 Dual CB so toss out the clogged cat idea.
-Timing is set and dead on.
-Fuel is being delivered...runs rich. No detonation occured prior to the turbo stopping to build boost.
What I'll be checking:
1. Turbo. Shaft play, fins, and the fact that the turbine wheel is still connected via shaft to the compressor wheel.
2. Listen for blown gaskets. I should be able to do this while in no gear right?
3. BOV. Check for function and to assure that it is closed.
What else should I put on the list?

Are you running a stock or aftermarket intercooler? Theres most likely a coupling leading from the turbo to the throttle body that is not connected properly. Even if it looks to be in place double check all of you couplings to make sure they are tight and in place.

I feel like the horses ***.
The IC/TB hose popped off on the TB inlet...
You see what happens if you don't touch your car for a week and let paranoia stir?!!!
