That information is in the FAQ thread at the top of this page.

The TPS is your throttle position sensor. You need it for the car to run properly and it must be adjusted to the proper setting with a multimeter or two DMM's with the S5 since it has two sensors. You can also use the two light method but my knowledge on that is limited at best.

best way to test it is to use a analog multi meter that way you can see if the signal spikes or not

my 2 cents

Also try reading those threads at the top of the page. They are very helpfull for people that are new to the 7. Also give the search button a try when you have a new question. Chances are that it has been asked or talked about once(atleast) before.

Ok the bouncine throttle is the TPS or a vaccume leak. But lloss of throttle that is something else. :-/ Have you taken it to your local rotary shop? You can also check for codes from the ECU. Chances are something else is messing up after a while and making it non-drivable.

BTW the TPS is adjusted with a flat screw driver to turn an adjustment screw but you need the multimeter(s) to watch where its set at so you know what your changing. That screw is on the throttle linkage.

make sure you do it with the engine HOT and know what your doing because if you just go and start turning the screw you are gonna have some major problems
