If you have a damaged o-ring, it means an engine rebuild to fix it.

Probably no harm in driving the engine, but it will smoke a lot, and foul plugs.

Why were you driving low on oil?

The reason for blown oil rings is usually due to excessive heat in the oiling system. This can be caused by a failed front thermal pellet (rotors are not cooled) or by low oil (less oil to transfer heat). An oil temp gauge is the easiest way to monitor this.

When you do blow your oil rings, it always means they must be replaced.
