Question $1400 for true dual?!!?

I was on Mazdatrix the other day and I saw this exhaust. Nice increase in power(28%), but $1400?!!? WTF?!!? How much would it cost me to build a custom system that puts out that power? If I can't make that kind of power from a custom system.....time to start saving then. BTW....this is for an NA. Thanks people.

hmmmm, buy a header and go custom
But whether to have any type of muffler or just 2.5"-3" straight back.
Pretty much up to, do you want max power from exhaust, how loud do you mind being, and are you worried about being legal (smog requirements/inspections/being pulled over for cops for driving your lawnmower on the streets)

There is a way using the air-pump, but I'm assuming you have -or will- removed it ?

I am goin to do the same thing. First step is to get the Racing Beat header from www.mazdatrix.com It is slightly modified to open the auxillury ports. It costs $200 instead of the standard Racing Beat one that is $187. You can find it on their site or call them and they will tell you what to get. The header to engine gasket is included. I bought the gasket to go from the header back & the flange. Then you pick out some mufflers(unless you don't want them) & take it to a shop to do some custom piping. My car needs some work but as soon as it is running good again I will have mine done. Already found the mufflers I want too. Oh ya, there is someone on here named "mazdatrix", they work there. You can ask them anything.
