Anyway, how many of you have lost your girl or are constantly getting crap from your girl because you spend more time with your rx7 then you do her? I hear stories locally all the time, so if you wanna share your story and get some frustration out c'mon down!

p.s. and if u are a girl reading the post, u should chime in as well

Ok..Conclusion.You can take the rx7 out for a Drive,but you can't get it Drunk and Have sex with you,even though you Dress funny and you Look eight months pregnant from drinkin a case of Coors light every day after work!.

Find a girl who has her own hobbies and a strong network of supportive (as opposed to melodramatic) female friends. Girls whose main hobby is their relationship/boyfriend (and there are TONS of these) are the ones who get worked up about it the most.

On the other hand, there are at least some times when we as guys may be legitimately going overboard with the car. But that's usually if you're putting yourself into completely irresponsible debt or constantly breaking promises to the girl for the sake of spending time on the car.

 

That's me.

 

I once got dumped by a girl for this very reason.

I was under my car talking to her on the phone when it happened. Hahaha.

 

^^ well a girl is going to understandably get pissed from that eventually, if you are always setting yourself up for disappointing her. just don't get into situations of "let me just finish x project on my car this afternoon. i'll be done by 7 and then we can go out." then you really get fucked because it never gets done in that time period and the girl starts bitching.

i'm trying to be evenhanded on the subject here. it's 1/2 the personality of the girl and it's 1/2 the way you set her expections.

 

I've only had my 3rd FC for about a month now, and the wife is already pissed! Calls the car "the other woman".

 

it is nice being single when you've got big car projects. during my motor build and tune I spent probably 20+ hours a week on the car for months.

 

Ha! You guys need a woman who is so busy earning money that she doesn't have time to bitch about your hobby. One who doesn't mind that you having a hobby because she is always working late.

If you see one of those, send her my way...

if a girl cant understand that you keep wrenching on your car because YOU need to keep it running otherwise it will fall apart, then she gotta be let go.. lol

but it helps if your car doesnt look like a piece of ****, .. its gotta be unique and have potential the maybe she will see it. If you had a ferrari and wrenched on it all the time, you know dam well no girl is gonna complain. lol

 

I just get lucky enough that my women like the fact that im always working on my car. I guess it could be the fact if i dont work on it they wont ever see me.

 

I don't think anyone in thier right mind would wrench on a ferrari. That is just one of those cars you don't ******* touch.

you guys need to get some priorities... unless its your JOB, making MONEY, its really hard to understand working on the FC 40hours a week.

to the guy with the ferrari, the engine comes out every 15k, so someone has to work on it

 

Just the other day I was installing a boost gauge on my TII s5, my g/f calls about dinner so I tell her I'll be home in 45 minutes..... calls again after 1h 45 minutes and she is mad.. when I didn't even realize it had been that long. Scenarios like that happen a couple times a month, this last time I had to "promise" it would never happen again.

Why do you tell your girlfriends "oh I'll never do that again" ? sure it may stop her from bitching the first time, but the next time you show up late because you're working on the car she'll bitch at you twice as much because you recent said you'd "never do that again." And then she'll throw the broken promises in your face again and again like women do. It's pretty stupid.

About the ferrari....

I personally wouldn't go jacking around under the hood of a ferrari. If I paid $250k for a car, then I wouldn't want to mess it up. Could you imagine breaking something and sourcing a replacement part? We think the rx7 is bad when it comes to finding parts....****.

Hmm... if I had to choose I would go insanse.

My friend and I constantly joke about finding the TII S5 Rx7 with a glowing golden aura and naked chicks inside everytime we go to the junkyard... It just wouldn't be the same without the girls inside the car.

 

well the rx7 is a materialistic object, so letting go a human for a car is well kinda uhmm messed up. although if the b!tch cant deal with the car, kick her *** right out!
