^yeah i seen that a while back, freaking awesome love it. never thoguht to do a conversion from a 308gts.. tho the real gto has a longer engine and is mid engine. no complaints =)

my gf doesn't give me any hassle about my cars or all of the random parts/tools i have laying around.

 

it'd have to be car, since its where most of my hard earned cash goes to. unless its a night at the titty bar now thats a different story.
and not to mention the gas mileage i get out of my engine.

i have trouble keeping up with my girl, she owns a stock '89 FC TII Vert and a '95 FD with HKS T51R
i will never have to make that choice when i'm with her. she'll kick my *** if i were to sell it

I would pick my car any day of the week I have wasted more money on fancy dinners that parts for my car.

when it is all said and done i still have the keys to my baby lol.

but i do like have a girl with me when i go out to the local meets on staurday nights.

My ex used to **** about me working on my cars every time i picked up a wrench, never made a peep when I was fixing her brakes or changing her oil though. Arghx has a pretty good handle on this, women are all about the expectations you create for them. Never tell a woman oh it just going to be 45 minutes, just tell her you're not sure how long its going to be and you'll let her know when you are done. And if you can, always avoid making promises.

 

Also, I don't have a gf right now but I am building a 20b fc. For now I pick the cars.

 

My Rx7 is my woman. I love to be inside of her.

 

My missus hates the amount of money i spend on my car, and the amount of time i spend on it. However she understands how much it means to me to have that car, and how much i like working on it. I'm gonna bring her round. Her civic is getting traded in on an rx8 in the next 6 months or so. Then she can't complain i'll be like u get the rx8, im stuck with the fc =D win win

 

that guy is a ****** badass! Talk about knowing how to do body work......and he has an awsome garage! I wish I had that knowledge and was that good at something like that. Welding, fabrication, painting, interior work......thats a great project right there.

this is exactly when I don't like having a girl with me. They get bored after an hour unless they can get really engaged in a conversation with another guy's girlfriend. I like to look at other people's cars in detail and just talk about things that 99% of girls don't give two ***** about. And if I want to take somebody out for a ride or something I don't want to hear about me "ditching "her. But maybe your girl is different?

Think about how many random dudes you see cruising around or at meets where the girl just stands there or sits in the car with this completely bored expression on her face.

My ex liked the fact that I worked on my car. Part of the reason she loved me was because she saw I had a passion about something and I pursued it. She was very understanding of my hobbies. Plus she liked the sound of the BOV

 

fortunately my girlfriends main hobby is old BMWs. she has been a a race instructor(buttonwillow/streets of willowsprings...).
she is currently building an 85 635csi...

however, this poses a new set of problems and threats..

1) battle for garage time
we have a 2 car garage, and it is not sufficient if both of us wanna tear down engines at the same time, only having one hoist/etc. finally got a big enough compressor to run 2 sets of air tools
2) cant go to the track together(and both drive)
don't have a CDL license or a trailer to haul 2 cars and all the spares and crap.
3) obviously household auto budgeting is a concern...
4) i sometimes find my garage beer fridge empty!!!
5) the continual neighborhood hassles surround having what could constitute a use car lot on my property. in total we have 13 vehicles at the house including the the bikes. this includes some donor carcasses, so don't get too jealous... one of them is starting to grow plants out of it...(luckily its a chevy! !
6) this is embarrassing to say... she could out drive me in a school bus.
7)sometimes there are heated arguments, that get a little too emotional, about things like tire choice/etc.

i guess you win some, you lose some.
all and all i think its an advantage over living with a woman who doesn't get it

 

I split it up 50/50. After I take my car for a ride I take her for a ride.

lol my girl loves to go out to the meets with me but only if we go to the movies or do some thing she wants to first then go by the meet later

which i hate going to the movies around here because the mall area is know for cars to disappear

but other than that she is cool

exactly, its all about expectations. heres how you do it, first time you date a girl, you boff here in a rotary car, any rotary car. next time, take here to a hotel, or a friends bachelor pad, and PIIDB hard wiwth no lube and lastely take her to your home and throat f*#k her till shes hoarse.

while doing this explain to her, that vagi gi sex only gets you off when you are in the 7 and its idleing..... other than that its the hotel, or bachelors pad = PIIDB, or your or her house = throat f*&k till she is hoarse. this creates the proper expectations. SHE wants you to work on it and keep it running!
