it opens, but everyone has a hard time, and if you try it from the passenger side its even harder
My fc's heater works 50 percent of the time. My speakers go out sometimes after I've rewired them 3 times already checking for bad wires, and the radio is neW ! My passenger key hole works sometimes and the hatch key hole doesn't want to budge a bit. The sunroof needs a tiny nudge to open. N least but not last most weirdest one is I have no alarm in the car and it will sometimes start honking and lights start flashing like if it does ! (Honk, honk, honk, blink, blink,) I get up in the middle of the night staring @ it cuz idk wtf its telling me to do . I think she just wants attention but to turn it off I have to pop the hood and unplug the battery lol
I also have a mystery speaker, speaker is new, wire is new, even the amp RCA is new, sometimes it sounds half as loud as it should be, maybe a bad amp?
And the alarm- are you sure it does not have the factory alarm? Next time it is going off try unlocking the door with the key, lock and unlock it

lmao,
The clock only worked in 90+ Degree weather
the door beeper sounds like somebody shot it
My shift up light turns on at 2k
the belt light on my idiot cluster turns on randomly.
Soo many things are fucked up lol
My car always broke when I am in it. but when my GF was in it it never broke.

My seatbelt light comes on randomly sometimes while driving. My fuel and temp gauge like to peg full, but only if it is below about 40 degrees out, and only until the car warms up, otherwise they work just fine. Sometimes while driving on the freeway the car will downshift and go full throttle when a Mustang is passing, wonder why? Hehe.

when it's freezing my car don't unlock so I can't get in it unless I breath on the key hole. Yes I've done it yes I looked like an idiot.
the power locks don't work when it's cold. And sometimes when I'm lucky both doors unlock at the same time.
if I don't lock my car the alarm will go off after about 15 seconds which is good I never forget to lock it =)
it runs better when cleaned and with a full tank of gas.
sunroof doesn't push up without help
the rear passanger door is missing

Let's see.... Mine died for no reason when driving home after looking at another RX-7 to buy.. it eats driveshafts and alternators [it killed 2 automatic ones, and I think it's recently just killed the manual one -- alts: it's on its 3rd or 4th..], the seatbelt light comes on randomly, and it never seems to idle the same from startup to startup.
Of course, most of the time it has trouble I'm spending more time working on another car. [I think it tried to act up at first when I started going out with my girlfriend, but it learned to deal with it]

there is actual lock lube you can spray into the cylinder, and as iani said lube the linkage inside the door
Just Sunday on the way to a photo shoot my clock said 12:30, I looked down and when I looked up again it said 9:15, I was hoping I had traveled the space time continuum because I was going around 88 mph but alas it was 12:32

My car has like 7 different stages of idle. Seat belt light comes on dim when I pull the key out. Washer dash light is always on regaurdless of fluid level. Door beeper randomly sounds like a dieing mouse. Two of my side markers require a wheel of fortune touch to light up.
Old electronics suck. Imagine the new cars today in 20+ years. **** will be a nightmare.

My S4 GTU's washer fluid light will come on under cornering if it is anything but filled to the very top. My old S5 GTU also had the problem with the driver's side door lock freezing at the drop of a hat. I found that spraying graphite lube into it would help somewhat, but not totally fix the problem.

I think any 20+ year old car with a lot of wiring and switches is going to have some electrical gremlins. These cars have a lot fewer problems than some cars this age.
I just thought of another odd one: Every now and then when I have the headlights on, the clock will gradually fade to black, but not reset to 1:00. In other words, when it eventually comes back to full brightness, the time is still correct. If this was the typical cold solder joint thing, I'd think the clock would reset itself to 1:00. At least that's what my previous FC used to do.
