I think on one of the first few pages, someone mentioned their car being called a Ferrari. It was a few weeks ago, one of the warmest days of the winter (up in the high 50's) and I felt it was warm enough to put the top down. I pulled into my local Safeway to grab a few things, and a very attractive woman crossing the driveway yells "I love your Ferrari!" I was SO close to asking her if she wanted to ride in it!

I went to the local auto parts store to pick up some oil for my 86 n/a. I noticed a pretty nice 240sx in the parking lot. Went to the back of the store to pick out my oil when I heard this conversation ... clerk #1: "hey joe how about that rx7 out there?", clerk #2: "I don't like Mazdas ... they lie!", clerk #1: "what do you mean?", clerk #2: "it says 1.3 litre, but with them rotors they're really a 2.6 litre." So by now I've got my oil and headed to the counter, clerk #2 asks me "can I help you?", I said "nope, just picking up oil for my lying Mazda." He turned several shades of red, but couldn't find the words to say nothing else. Oh as I walked out, I had to say over my shoulder "that's a nice Z out there."

 

So today at school some kid bought a rx7 fc after seeing mine and came up to me and Was like hey take a look at my turbo fc I was oh? U got one? So I went to go look at it and it's a S5 vert N/A with a fake turbo ll decal on it and a N/A hood with no intercoolers and I was like this isn't a turbo ll. He popped the hood and I was like yeah this is a N/A engine then he said ****** idiot the turbo is inside of the engine and that S5 means turbo.... I just agreed and went on my way.

 

that's pretty sad...

I've had people tell me my engine can rev to 16 thousand RPMs with such a straight face and I cant do anything but agree because it is not worth the time to correct them.

 

mhmmm. he also commented on my facebook just a bit ago telling me to learn about my car and that i got it just bc how it looks......

 

Have him join this site and come tell everyone about his car, then sit back and watch the fireworks.

 

i did... hopefully he comes to this site... he can learn alot... but at the same time he got this car bc how it looked and his fake turbo ll engine.....

Maybe his turbo destroyed itself and pieces of it really are inside the engine. I bet you all feel pretty stupid right now.

Son: Woo! I past my driving test now I can't wait to get my car.
Dad: what kind of car do you want?
Son: either an Evo Or an Rx7 like the one outside. (revering to mine)
Dad: Son an Evo is really expensive, and rx7's break down all the time and isn't worth it
Son: ok then what car should I get?
Dad: how bout a nice Civic?
Son: really? I don't think so, let's ask this guy... (me)

Son: excuse me you look like your into cars, did you see that rx7 outside?
Me: yes
Son: ok would you rather have that, an Evo, or a civic?
Me: well if it were my choice I'd go with the 7
Son: see I told you dad
Dad: but they are always breaking down and overheating
Me: no sir I can tell you for a fact that if maintained properly and given a lil TLC there is nothing wrong with the 7.
Dad: Well what makes you such an expert?
Me: that rx7 out there in the parking lot is Mine

me: hello
redneck: hi im calling about your rx7 is the engine good?
me: yeah it was running without a problem
RN: ok good my valve guides are leaking oil into the cylinders and i think the headgasket blew cuz theres coolant in the oil, i just need the head off of yours
me: uhh you dont need to replace the head bro its a rotary
RN: no no no its not an airplane, its a mazda rx7
me: umm ok well in that case im asking 300 for the longblock i dont want to part the "head"
RN: ok and how much would you charge to help me replace the head and headgasket
me: ................... just remove the old engine and pop this one in
RN: ok, hey guy why would you think i had an old airplane? you have an airplane for sale
me: {takes a deep breathe and exhales}......your car has a rotary engine in it, ill explain when you come by

turned out his engine was fine he didnt have an oilcap and water had gotten into his oil pan, i explained the engine and now he understands... I think

 

they only understand if you SHOW them how it works, and in my case half the people i show just go "and how many cylinders does it have?"

N3CROSAG3 - that is AWESOME. If it were me I would have said something as soon as he said they break down a lot.

 

So I was at a gas station in my moms audi and there was some guy who looked a little crazy buying beer with his equally crazy wife. They we're getting gas in an automatic base model fc. Anyways I went to talk to them and they told me they would sell it to me for $3,500 and that its really fast. Even after telling them about my fc, they tried to tell me this n/a 4 lug would go 160mph. Haha I laughed at the price and how fast they thought it was!

 

I made a honda kid feel bad the other day while at the pump.
He goes in to prepay and i pull up to the other side of the same pump. I just swipe my card and start filling. I noticed a slid on fart muffler and maybe lowering springs, it was a LS model Integra.

I think i converted the kid but made him feel like an basic ricer kid for owning a honda.
