The other day I accidentally left the door open that seperates my garage and house. I started up the fc after sitting a few days and the usual cloud of smoke filled the garage which also got into the house. My family started panicking when they started to smell gas and thought we had a gas leak. They started blowing out all our candles and then soon realized it was only my car. I found it humorous while they shook their head at my fc lol.

This more applies to rotaries in general, but...
Once had a classmate say he thought rotaries used a vertical crankshaft.

Interestingly enough, I've had more positive reactions to Lucy than negative.
-My brother's friend's mother once had an RX-7 (unsure of gen) and loved it.
-An older (40ish) classmate in one of my shop classes said she and some friends had a turbo RX-7 and had a lot of fun with it, but sold it @80k because 'they knew it was going to blow-up'.

well back on topic. my car has been called a porsche, probe and one time my friends fc got called a camaro??? really??? and iv also got the question does it have a v6? to which i replied it doesnt have cylinders. then came the confused look. then i popped my hood and he asked what size is it, it looks so small? i said 1.3 of course. he said its not very fast bu it gets great mileage though. i said it is fast and i only get about 14 mpg average. then more confusion as i started it and it idled at 3k then bounced from 1k to 2.5k and backfired til warm and i drove away. haha i love my car <3

There was never an exchange of words really with me and these fools, but its kind of a funny story.
Was hanging out in my usual parking lot (no life -_-) and these dudes in a mini cooper s were following every person out and trying to race them. My friends were like "yo man show those dicks what's up!" I was hesitant at first but an hour later and it was really annoying me seeing these 2 little spanish guys fly in and out after cars. So I was like guys I'll be right back.
Followed them out and acted like a normal driver and slowly caught up to them. The passenger passed me a look and then they sped off quick. Said to myself "uh alright.." and once again slowly caught up to them like a "normal driver" looked right at them as I dropped into 3rd and took off.
All I could hear (and I'm sure all they heard too) was BOMMMM *pop* BOMMMM *pop*
I could tell they were trying as hard as possible to catch me, when I looked in the rearview I could see the car jerk every time they shifted haha. I never saw those guys ever again hahaha.

Keep in mind; my car is a completely stock n/a 91 vert, minus the exhaust. Body is in beautiful condition so they probably assumed it was just all for looks haha.

Also one more quick story.
Was meeting up with my friends at dave and busters on the weekend where everyone goes to meet for the races, and on the way there took the winding way near the airport with some really nice corners, would be perfect for a short drift trial. Didn't see this little honda crew coming when I turned onto the road and I guess I accidentally cut off the guy in front. So I'm doing my usual little cornering slow in fast out manuevers and I swear I heard a bus coming til I looked in the mirror and realized it was the little honda behind me trying to fly up to me.
I honestly thought it was kind of sad that this honda with what seemed like a giant bus turbo in it couldn't catch up to a stock 7 haha

I was out snow/ice drifting last night with my friends, when this turbo'd blazer showed up, ya a turbo'd blazer, thought it was weird too. Me and this guy aI don't know tandem around for a few minutes and park. To see like five 18 year olds hop out. We shoot the **** for a while, taking turns tear up the parking lot. Well my friend's out in his fc sliding around. Right when he starts the car and pulls out, the driver of the blazer says, "Oh great, another rice burner." I kinda do the whole "" thing but ignore it. He's out there sliding around to where he says to me, "Man, you need to throw in an inline six in that thing, then it'd be badass!!!" Immediate face palm by me, "you know, me and him have the same engine, except mine's turbo. Plus, swapping out a rotary is crazy unless you want like a full drift car, in which case a V8 might be the best option." " A rotary???" Thats when I gave up, haha. A minute later one of the guys is telling me about his badass supra he has, and how he's getting a pound of chronic! To many things to joke about here, but that's when we figured it was time to take off.

Got an FC now, but a funny story from my RX3 days as a kid.

In Australia, we got lumped with laws for young drivers. Namely power to weight ratio rules and engine types. Anyway, the law in my state was no turbo, no v8 and even certin NA 6 cylinders were banned until you got your full licence (3 years). And they wonder why so many young guys spend all there money on skinny leg jeans and hair product...............

I had an RX3 with a Bridgeport 13B and needless to say it went rather well. So I am cruising home around 1am through a notorious town for illegal drags. Only car on the road an unmarked SS Commodore (Pontiac GTO over in USA?) roars up and gets on the red and blues so I pull in and shut her off.

We get out and I am instructed to pop the hood. He is convinced that this coupe is fast - and it looked the goods but this motor had him stumped. I played dumb, he was dumb and when asked how many cylinder it was I replied "I really don't know my dad handed the car down to me, maybe count the spark plugs?". Well he did count to two, paused then said drive home safe. Tipping he didn't have the ***** to ask if it was a 2 cylinder.............

1.3 liter you get great gas mileage and not very fast fwd. is it a gt probe? and i always get"Hey man you have a blown headgasgket, look at all that smoke"

fucktards! honda ricers really **** me off with their v tec bull ****. i just rev it pop some flames and they dont bother me no more. they say their jdm and they dont know what is popular in japan. not fwd, its rwd nissans and mazdas and toyotas

People assume that since their fathers, who are muscle men with no rotary knowledge other than the cons, taught them about the rotary that they know everything. People are so quick to jump on what's bad about it instead of what's good. I have a stock 91 vert with just an exhuast and I easily beat tough guys with camaros and firebirds and all that ****. They think "oh man he's got a ****** gokart motor under that thing" and rev the **** out of their engines to look cool, but are silent when I do the same thing and shoot flames at them. Just cause your car is loud as **** and daddy built it for you doesn't mean you know how to drive like a champ, muscleheads need to calm down lol
