last night i ran my buddys 91 tt300z beat him by a good amount ..and come to find out he had his girlfirend with him...we pulled over at a gas station after leaving the track ..and first thing his girl said to me was damn your car sounds sexy its amazing ..i wasnt sure what to say so i said thanks lol

Got my swap done last week, still having a few issues. A friend came over and I heard him talking about my car to another friend up in the garage while I was tinkering with some settings on the car in the driveway. He's always talking smack about rotaries. "I bet it blows up in a week" "I'll be suprised if it has enough hp to move under its own power" "I hear those things get **** gas mileage" . I don't say anything about it, just "Hey jon, it's ready, wanna go for a ride?". He jumps in, first thing I do out of my neighborhood, clutch kick into 2nd, throw the car completely sideways (thank you supernow tie rods). Sideways for a good 5-10 seconds, just bouncing the rpm's at 8k. I don't think I've ever heard such a high pitched scream from anyone, male or female, in my life.

He hasn't talked a word of smack since that day.

I called an auto store by me to order spark plugs. He asked me what kind of car it was, and I said a 1990 Mazda RX7, and hes like ummm... those cars don't have spark plugs...
I was like umm, then why am I holding one in my hand that just came out of my car???

Im driving at night and get pulled over downtown. I ran straight pipes on a true dual header.

Cop: You know why I pulled you over

Me: My cars too loud?

Cop: Yeah, so you got engine problems or something?

Me: No I just dont have mufflers on yet.

I told him the truth couldnt lie. Gives me a warning and lets me go.

I get pulled over again in the suburbs. This time I have resonators and mufflers.

Cop: You know why I pulled you over?

Me: No sir

Cop: It sounded like you stepped on it back there (I didnt). Or do you have engine problems or something?

Me: Oh no, its a rotary.

Cop: Ok (confused face and walks away..no more questions and not even a warning lol)

I'm glad there's a lot of rotary respect in Eugene. I haven't caught too much **** for owning one. Most people are like "Awesome! You have a RX-7!" Especially when I leave them behind or pitch it sideways.

I was pulling into my college parking lot and did a peel out leaving the stop sign, go around and parked. A couple guys walked up and the dumbest of the three started talkin. It went a little something like this.

'tard #1: Hey, is that an rx-7?
Me: Yeah
'tard #1: Those have rotaries right?
Me: (holds back snickering) Why, yes it is.
'tard #2: Told ya.
'tard #1: Shut up. Ok, so i heard you do that peel out earlier and this guy
('tard #2) said that they can be turboed but i told him that the rotary motor can not be turboed because of the intake ports and the apex seals breaking. Im right, right.
Me: (points to the Turbo II decal) Hope you didnt bet on it. (walks away).
Worst part about it is that its an automotive college. God help us all.

my favorite is the reaction people watching me pour 2 stroke into the gas tank....its like there watching a magic trick.

one time i was driving to my friends house to check what was wrong with his car(FD of course) and i stop at a light and i see a cop on the other part of the light going the same direction but on the other side were the divider ends(pellam parkway, its weird but thats how it is)

so the light turns green and me not thinking i pull out go up to about 6k and shift(my usual impatiant city driving style)

right when i shift i let out a big fireball and im like HOLY ****! i was so scared the cop saw it and was going to pull me over and what not.

luckily for me he was probably to busy eating a doughnut or something to notice.
