Stormy Night.... etc.
Night One: Had my girlfriend with me and some great storms rolled in, but by the time I started getting everything set up "I'm bored, ready to go, I don't feel good" etc. So yeah, didn't get any good lightning shots at all.
Here is the shot that I had framed up w/ my Nikon SB-600 externally to fire once some lightning started happening. Bullshit I tell ya, could've gotten some sick shots but whatever. Car shot, no lightning. lol.
Night Two: Storms started rolling back in and I grabbed my gear and flew out the door. I framed up a good shot, but then the sky fell and I sought shelter. I did however manage to get this shot, just w/ no car in the frame. lol. I seemed to be missing all of the good bolts by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There were some sick bolts and strikes that cracked through the clouds.
What I want is both pictures but as an original shot. Framed up like #1 but w/ a bolt and crack like #2. Oh well. I am still going to try and pull it off before summer ends. Thought I would share. Thanks for looking.

Btw: Here are some other shots from this past weekends Rx-7 meet down in Charleston, SC. I snapped these and still have a lot more to get uploaded.
20B10AE (Reese) and I swapped cars and I got to drive his TurboII swapped vert. It was a lot of fun and boost w/ the top down was awesome! It was nice to see my TII do some highway pulls by me as well!

Thanks for all the kind words! New wheels on the car now and I'll try if there's another storm in the area. No I don't work @ a magazine or anything. I freakin' wish that were the case. Photography as a career is my dream but its all about knowing the right people and getting your foot in the door. I seem to have a problem w/ doing both and do manual labor for a living. lol.
Oh well. It's fun and that's what matters I guess. I really am not sure that I would want the ease of a hobby to become a source of income but being an editor @ a car magazine or something where I could travel and shoot would be nice.
