the GXL stock is a nice drifting vehicle.
Make the suspension in the rear little bit more stiffer then perhaps the regular coil-overs...

I would like to have a t2 as well but sometimes you just have to make apple sauce with da apples you already have!!!

I am more interested in the suspension of the car... I use to kick her sideways all the time and had some body roll issues... This is gone as soon as i get proper struts/ springs or even better coil overs!!!

Does anybody know of some poor man upgrades??? I.E. toe rod spacers and suck???

Dynamic Traction Suspension System Eliminators. DTSS Eliminators. Drive a corner fairly hard and feel the car suddenly kick out a little bit. That's the rear bushing giving a slight degree of steering. It's really hard to drive to the limit and/or drift with those things on since it's either do a full 180, or not make the turn... That's just my experiance

Oh!!!
It sounds like the hica system in my buddy's Z32... He hates it and im not sure if i would like it either...
I am use to a stiff slide in my JZa70

Thanks for the option though, that is exactly the kinda things this thread is for, i am quite new to this FC and would love to know more!!!!

How about some quick 13b mods... Dont worry i will be using the search button a lot so dont feel as if im milking this thread... Just feel free to give me your Two cents...

Thanks
-Travis

when i was drifting my na i went with a rb road race header out to 2 rb exhausts with full custom piping that bitch was loud but i felt alot more power and i swapped out my clutch and flywheel . my car had no emissions ac power steering so for me drifting was a bit more of a challenge what are your plans so far ? get a good coilover i like tein

don't forget to leave the ps fuse in place
otherwise your defog will always say it's on.

I'm happy that I'm not the only one doing crazy stuff to his na

what standalone are you planning to use?
I just got my car running with haltech and I thought it was really easy to do

You also gonna wanna pickup a 89-91 ps steering rack and cut the seals out
I did it and it's a much better ride.

Now for rims I picked up a cheap set of 99 mustang gt rims
and it was the best $400 I have spent on wheels

I also have the rb full suspension kit and 4 kyb agxs
it's not the cheap way to go but it is sooooo nice

Yes ALL fc's have it. Get rid of it. I doubt its working properly on most cars nowadays anyhow.

Weld the differential, then it will have a 1000000000000% lock up rate, haha. After that, get coilovers. It helps most of all. After market struts and springs cant compared to a coilover at all, and anyone who says differently doesn't know what they are talking about.

well your car dont look like a GXL with the turbo II hood and sticker rx7 on the bumper (instead of raised plastic), if it is, you already have an LSD just get i rebuilt and you'd be off to a good start.

edit: i see the AAS on the strut bar towers, must b a 86 or early 87 then.

Did you put ice on the deadening mat? Is that what that is? Looks like it comes off pretty clean that way.
