To be honest the guys you find on here that are "slammed" has spent mega mulah on the suspension. They are mainly pbm's d2. No one rocks the cheap ****. If you are looking for the slammed look, spend the extra cash and make sure ur on wheels that will fill the wheel well, 17s or 18s

obviously i wish i could haha.. but i cant :l
and i like the stiffness of megans to be honest.. i really actually prefer them over my friend's JIC's the jics seem too much like tein, they're just soft and ****.. my friends s13 was super low on megans.. his bumper was inches off the ground.. and it drifted very nice with absoltely no body roll.. i loved it.

keep trying to convince yourself that an $800 suspension is better than an $1800 suspension.
i like my Teins just fine and would never trade them for Megans, or PBMs for that matter.
just saying..

Funny how much ignorance there is out there in the world. I'm willing to bet half the guys that say Megan coilovers are cheap dont ever track their cars.... why the hell would you spend $1800 on baller *** coilovers to daily drive their cars
I've been rocking Rotary Works coilovers on both FCs for a few years, our drift cars use them, and street cars all have them and guess what....perfectly fine!
to OP: if you plan on just daily driving your car with a bit of windy roads here and there or aggressive driving from time to time....I HIGHLY recommend Megans or Rotary Works or any other decent named "cheap" coilover. The Megans and RW both will almost sit the frame of your FC on the ground.
Bet you didnt know that Tein HE and the new Apexi basics are the same as Megans and other ebay companies
This is my FC on Rotary works coilovers which are almost identical to Megans and I still had 1" to go

Here's my 90 on Megan Racing Tracks. They were cheap as ****, but hey, I like them. And yes I have tracked this car (not at this height) with these coilovers, they're nice for drifting, but for grip, forget about it.
This is before I lowered it three more times, I don't currently have a picture of how it sits right now.

How do you draw this assumption? I've seen lots of people with K-sports and all kinds of other **** on this forum, and I've never even heard of PBM.

No, I have the SHP's so they're 8 inches wide in the front and 9 in the rear. I don't recall what the offsets are at the moment.

Noticeably. The front tires are much more tucked under the fender. The rears are too, but not as much.

Turns out most coilovers are crappy at competitive levels. But if you're driving on the street like I am, who cares.

This is super ignorant. Alot of coilover companies, even cheap one's like BC to PBM to higher end stuff will usually give you valving and spring rate options. I know for a fact BC will do all that for free if you just call them, I think PBM does it for free too.
I understand the wanting cheap coils mindset, heck I had some $300 Raceland's on my scion tc back in the day just to slam it. But when I got my BC's, and later my PBM's, you can really tell a huge difference, especially when you slam a crappy coilover. Idk, I'm new to FC's but i've been around slammed cars enough to know that just to slam you're best off with a reputable brand. I can only imagine that for performance its going to be similiar. ( and yes I do understand that slammed =/= performance, I'm just using an example.)

The white car has 17x9 and 17x8 +35 with 235/40 rears and 215/30 fronts with just a minor fender roll.
This is my latest FC with RW coilovers sitting on 18x10.5 & 18x9.5 with 255/40 and 235/40....20mm front fenders and 50mm rear over fenders. The coilovers sell for like $750 +S&H but I love them.
The RW coilovers still have another 2" drop left on this picture
