New Guy

Just wanted to introduce myself. I bought a FC from a good friend that's obsessed with RX-7s.....lol. Its an 86 Base, Street Ported with 3mm seals...few other little mods. I'm looking forward to learning alot from the members of this forum.

i looked for an intro section and didn't see one so i just went to 2nd gen specific. I'm not concerned about having a n/a 4 lug RX-7. Not everyone wants the same thing out of their car. I enjoy it and thats all that matters........

yeah till something breaks ( which it will i promise ) then you'll be like hey wait...i could replace it.....or upgrade for nearly the same price! thats how it always starts. next thing you know, your contemplating which standalone to purchase.

That will never be me....haha. I know a guy thats working on a 20B swap into an FD..he's been at it for about 3 yrs now........Lots of cash invested.......I used to have a SRT-4 (stock)....my FC seems comparable in speed....it just doesn't pin u back in the seat like the SRT did since its not turbo'd

That comment just got you kicked off the forum... sorry
Just playing- but these cars start becoming money pits after a while. Mine's eating the back tires because of the worn out suspension and crazy camber. That'll take around $400 to fix, using cheap components. And if you cant work on them yourself, hiring someone else to is crazy expensive. Just keep in mind that these are ~20 years old, so things are going to start failing. And I'm only 17 and I've spent around 4K on my FC so far...

i'm about 5k into my 88 se, and except for the paint and body, i've replaced everything except the motor look at my VB garage for a good example of what 5k-6k can do if you do all the work yourself and find good deals on your parts
