Talking My new S5 Turbo II!!!

Here's a few pics of the 7 after I finally cleaned her up good and washed and waxed her. The paint still isn't where I want it to be, but I'm gonna be compounding the whole car in the next couple of weeks.

1989 Mazada RX-7 Turbo II Conversion

Mods:
-Full conversion including LSD diff(pretty sure)
-KOYO Racing radiator
-Megasquirt V3 controlling fuel only
-Greddy Type RS BOV
-Boost controller set on 9 psi
-Unsprung racing clutch(hate it!)
-"Mazdaspeed" Leather racing seats
-Alpine CD Player
-Brand new set of Bridgestone Potenza G009's (205/50/16) on factory wheels

Enjoy!

Nah, not yet...I forgot all about it. These were just some quick shots before the sun went down...but I'll try to get some tomorrow. I must say the KOYO radiator looks very nice.

Later,
Vincent

ARE? Do they still make them? I have considered taking the wheels off of my car and either painting or powder coating them in a dark bronze color...but I don't know how that would turn out...

LOL, yeah they are definately nice...a real nice edition to the interior. Everything works except for the fog lights and the dome light...gotta fix those.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I am very proud to have it...it's a blast to drive.

In the future I wanna get a proper exhaust for it and maybe lower it a little...

How do you like those seats? I'm considering purchasing a set but wanted to hear from some members first. How comfortable are they? Any input would be great,

Beautiful car man, very clean. Lets see an under the hood shot.

The seats are pretty nice. They are decently comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend going on a long trip with them. They don't have a whole lot of padding. But then again, I am comparing these with the factory Recaro seats in my Cobalt SS S/C.

Something you should keep in mind though. From what I understand, these seats are not a direct bolt in. You have to use some strips of metal because the bolt holes are offset a little.

You are correct sir! I have noticed this and I need to fix it. I don't usually have a passenger, but I can see how that would be weird siting on an angle like that. And it looks weird in the pics.

Nice car man, really beautiful.

Just one question for everybody: There was this huge debate on another thread about real and fake mazdaspeed seats. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the "mazdaspeed" logo on the seats supposed to go below the holes on the headrest?

Those are the more or less generic ebay/craigslist seats. You can find the same seats for Nismo, Ralliart, Type-R, Cobra, etc. What has me worried most is that I don't know how the reclining mechanism would hold up under crash stress, which is the biggest point of contention when people discuss these seats on most any forum. Personally, I wouldn't buy them, but if they were already in the car, I wouldn't complain. Or I'd find someone who wanted to trade for TII seats.

These are what Mazdaspeed seats REALLY look like.
