Just Startn, Thats your opinion and your entittled to that, I myself, like, both the widebody look and then the natural lines of the FC'S, Mazda built a beautiful design, when they created the RX-7's both Coupes and Verts, and there's bodykits that still follow the natural lines of the Fc's without wideing it. As for using sheetmetal vs. fiberglass and bondo on the build, I agree with you, I'd appreciate it too, however working with sheetmetal is an Art , Takes ALOT of detication, and skill, and rolling curves takes alot of time, and skill, but the end result would definately be appreciated, by all, but only a handful of people would really know the hard work ,that was put into it.

ill tell ya this is a good conversation here... I like all cars that are done right. weather it be a FC, starlet, conquest, samuri, escort, corvette...anything. I been dealing with all kinds of cars my whole life i started off with hot rods right off the rip so i seen/done sheet metal, fiberglass. i like wide bodys not all but some. the black wide body that this thread started from i dont care for. The reason, there is no body lines, no character to it. The back end is ok the front i dont like how the top of the fender and the top lip of the flair runs together. Post #9 that car looks really nice. It still has some looks to it if you know what i mean. Rx-heavens old car (primer one) to me the fron shouldnt be so wide it almost looks to me like the front is wider than the back. Idk everyone has diff tastes and such, im doing a resto on my vert theres a thread on it (vert restoration 101!) i will be updating it tomorrow.

For the new vert members considering gettin a Tri point widebody kit, or a knock off version of one, make sure, its the 50mm kit , not, to be confused with the 30mm kit thats floating around, out there. The 50mm fenders adds 2" , doesnt sound like much , but THAT, makes a dramatic difference to the body line. Also when you see picts on the net, its not the same as actually seeing one up close. and walking around one, Here's a couple of picts, of the Widebody fenders, 1st 2 picts, seen from a certain angles you can't appreciate it, last 2 picts, but then from the proper angles , big difference.

Awh, Sarcasm, works for me sometimes. But I try to avoid it, when I can, Actually it would be awesome, I would hope some of my fellow Vert lovers in the East Coast, and the Midwest, could try to Organize a local Cruise in your areas, but Just for verts, over here in Calif, there's plenty of scenic cruzin to do, In the mountains nice curvy roads , in the desert, beautiful landscaping, and the coastline, Pacific highway , Malibu, Santa Barbra, the Bay Area. You get the idea. If only 3 verts show up, at first, Thats a start.
But yes, keep me informed on a vert meet. I live in the Sierras just east of Modesto in Cali. :-)

The bodykit I designed that is on Juices car is 4-1/2" wide and covers the whole tire, from top to bottom
When you get all the rock chips on the leading edge of your rear flare by kicked up debris from the uncovered lower half of the front tires, you will appreciate that aspect of my design.
The flares can house GT-1 racing slicks. No way you can do that with the standard Tri-Point flares you have.

qtr panels wer copies frm a tripoint kit some guy made,so they are wider than the ones u can buy. This is my budget vert project so wasnt throwing crazy amounts of cash on her, I save that for my coupe
Back on track now, what kinda clear coat did that guy use? Super glossy for sure.
