19 was unemployed for 1.5 years (commuting to school leaves no time for work). Now I have a job at a grocery store in the Deli Department. Pays 9.50/hr minus union dues.

Live on my own with my GF, have ~500 give or take 50 bucks per month in bills. Any money I have is being put towards college. I'm in my second year of Industrial Engineering Management.

20, bartender, I make enough to get by
my turbo 'vert project has soaked up all my cash
but my job is incredibly fun
English Major, was an engineering major, but realized that it was a hobby, not something I would want to HAVE to do for the rest of my life.
About to finish up college, and then take a job teaching

I'll go ahead; I have no sweet hookups for my car, so I save all the money I get, divide it into categories. Since I'm 17, the smaller half goes to my car and the bigger goes towards collage.

I'd like to know what this community does to pay for their car...
(Don't answer if you don't want to)

Leave the car alone for a while, stack up your money, pay your school bills first, then in the near future, u will have a bad *** job that will buy anything u want for the 7!!

I'm not in college yet, but I got a bit over $10,000. Its soo tempting to put that in my 7, but I'm making some money parting out my MG.

I'm in a similar position. I have a little over 20,000 saved up for a down payment on a nice house, but it is tempting to drop about half of it into my TII lol. The cool thing for me is, my apprenticeship PAYS ME to go to school. Once I get my two year degree from The Apprentice School, I can continue my education as far as I want and they will 100% reimburse me for all school costs.

While I'm talking about it, I'd like to throw out there that it is a great program I am in, and if anyone is looking for a great opportunity, I suggest you apply

Seriously, PM if you have any questions about it.

I'm a Combat Engineer for the US Army. Deployed to Iraq for 15 months in the beginning of 2007. Been home for little over a year and am heading back for another 12 months the end of this year. While deployed I save some money and put most of it in savings. I did take some of it and buy me a clean vert this last deployment.

This time I'm putting some money into dropping a built turbo motor and some other goodies into the 7.

I'm 24, married with a 2 year old, and another baby boy due next month.. And it sucks coming home for 7 days for your son to be born and then not seeing him again until after he has turned 1.....

Kinda sounds like me:

age: 25

Work for Teletech as a trainer (we take calls for Bank of America right now), but there isn't much of a budget with a wife, little girl, one on the way, and my new mortgage.

17 and I work in the customer service booth in a grocery store. Makes enough to pay for gas, maintain my DD (93 Subaru Legacy failwheeldrive), pay off the loan on the 7 ($100 a month, not bad), insurance on the subie and 7, and anything in between goes to my kind-of-running falling apart Z32.
