So I picked up a Infini 4 mazdaspeed seat, apparently the last 20 infinis came with them and I was curious what something like this would sell for? Its the passenger seat (driver's side here in north america) which I was intending to use but may need to end up selling it but I can not find one that was sold here and have no idea what they are going for!

$420 ebay, apparently it's is same as infini 3 seat as well.

I know the 3 and 4 look the same, except this one is all black and well 1 of 20. The infini 4 seats as well are more rare. Also going from that thread they sold for 420 as they were in very bad condition and that was back in 2005, not very current. I've already googled these things and could not find this particular seat being sold on the forum. That's why I asked.

You're basically trying to put a price on a unicorn, this would not be a normal transaction.

Infini 4 seats have an adjustable tilt.

Infini 3 don't, only the stock slider function.

 

The infini 3 seats have the tilt adjustment mechanisms built into the seat, but an exterior adjustment lever is not welded to the adjustment arm like the infini 4 seats are. You could add your own exterior adjustment tilt bar to the infini 3 seat if you can get enough room in the slot to tack a short weld and add/bend your own little exterior adjustment bar.

Without welding your own tilt adjustment bar you can still utilize the tilt adjustment mechanism before you mount the infini 3 seat in your car by pulling up on the lever that has the open "u" slot arm (below the spring) in the attached picture with pliers or using a screw driver shaft while sitting in the seat and tilting the seat back-back and then releasing the attachment to lock that position. It will fix the seat back at a slight recline, which I did and like.

 

On my Infini seats the US driver's side has the external tilt lever and my US passengers side has the tilt mechanism built into the seat and no lever to actually adjust it.

 

I'm curious how much you spent on it, wouldn't that answer your question? If it was on eBay for bid and you were the highest bidder that's a pretty good estimate of how much someone would pay lol.

 

I did not spend as much as you would think :P, I bought it out of japan so it being a passenger seat with no matching driver one so it's not very desirable over there. I see regular infini 3-4 seats sometimes go for 50-100 a seat.

Really?! That can't be a normal occurrence. I would love to have some Infini seats for $100 per seat.

 

It is not very often when that happens but I've seen it a few times :P, the last one I missed by 10 mins as I got home too late haha.
