I'm already back....
So.. It has been quite a while since I've started a thread. I sort of blew up my fifth rotary back in September... Ended up parting that fc out because it was technically totaled a few months before that.
Bought a Nissan nx1600 for a daily and it was great on gas but didn't have triangles.
Then I bought a 944 back in Jan. because it looked like a fc.
Didn't do it, no hypotrochoids. Traded it to a 240sx shell and started dreaming of a rotary swap...
Realized that none of these cars were going to replace the void in my heart that was caused by the loss of my 1st (out of 4) rx7.
So I found an s5, vert, auto about three hours away in Cincinnati and I'm picking it up Saturday. Just needs a torque converter and a fender. Can't wait to sit in another fc; depression is disappearing already...
Anyway, is it bad that I'm hoping the engine is blown so I can do a TII swap?

Say what you will about verts, sure they weren't fast but they have premium interior package compared to most of the coupes. Top down on a summer day or night in any sports car is something everyone should be able to enjoy at some point.

I wish I would have waited to buy an automatic vert. It seems more likely that they weren't beaten and/or trashed as badly. You probably won't be starting with such a mess in doing so.

I wish I had known you were in the market for a vert. I've got a rust free shell from my previous turbo swap. It is a perfect project for a turbo swap.
I've only ever owned vert rotaries. I'm on my third vert and fifth between my father and I. My manual transmission n/a was fun to drive. It's not as much fun as either of my turbo verts, but that's to be expected.

Errr, you...
I'm still in the market because I sort of got kicked out of the house I was renting.
Moving back in with my parents in, you guessed it, waverly, ky.
Like thirty minutes from evansville.
I don't have a job or anything, but I'm sure I'll get my old one back.
If you've still got it in a month or so I'll hit you up. lol.
I am set on buying a vert.
