I need some input please
First I drive an 88 SE mostly stock
So this guy (has an S2K) was talking a bunch of crap about how all these cars are pos's and blah blah blah.
I say that the RX7 is legendary (I believe it is) and his S2K is nothing but a Honda. Then i was told this.....
#1 Do you believe the RX7 is a legendary car?

ps I do not have anything against S2Ks. I think they are great cars

Quickest way to shut your friend up with the s2000 is swap an s4 t2 engine in. Run him. Then keep bringing up that time you raped a car that costs 8 times yours.
The s2000 is a bootleg miata without the handling and style.

I would say the fc is swapped more than the fd...... based on turbo swaps, fcs on craigslist with v8s and ebay.
Fd is generally too expensive for a high percentage of owners to aquire it just for a swap.
The fc handles beautifully and offers excellent power to weight....with endless (for the most part) tunability.
Not to mention the sound.

Yes, I feel the FC's are legendary. I would almost be willing to bet that the FC (stock for stock this is) will out handle one. Just look at how state-of-the-art the suspension on the FC's are. (and that ****'s over 20 years old!) And as it was said above. You can get youself a mildly built turbo motor thrown in, and kick *** all day long, for not even an eighth of what he's got in his stock car. I think alot of what he's saying, is simply him justifying the money he spent.

He could be dissing the FC because the US support on FC really sucks.. all the FCs you see are mostly stock, not many people build up tastefully modified jdm style FCs that you see in media and magazines compared to the glorified sexy FD. So yeah, if your not in the community, you wont know anything because frankly there are not enough FCs out there representing. Esp yours is a stock S4 NA 4lug with freaking sleepy eyes!!! come on dude.
And its tough because most FCs are cheap cars when they are sold and people dont typically like to drop a few grand into them. They are associated as being cheap cars. So dont get offended when people put em down, they clearly just dont know.

Ha ha thanks for the input guys. I like my sleepy eyes and they are staying like that :P
I am in no way offended by their comments. They are just ignorant and don't know the truth. I also know I could beat him at the track if only I didn't have a blown motor and no money to spend on it. I did beat and S2K in a race when I had a 35 shot in my car I didn't bother arguing with him since he won't even consider broadening his views on cars.
As for the turbo swap I would like to do that but every time I swap an engine into my car for some damn reason it won't run. My job is picking back up now so I choild be getting all my hours and have a little money left over to save for an engine.

People hate on FC's all the time saying they are ugly, old, and cheap. Need to learn to shrug it off and realize if you like your car that is all that matters. Throw a T2 motor in, 5 lug swap with some vert wheels, a set of at least lowering springs, and be confident in your attractive and fairly quick 80's sports car.
P.s. Sleepy eyes aren't sweet and every one knows it. Not hating on you man, but do you think neons are cool? Same boat.

Fix your headlights, it will look less like a broken "ugly pos rx7". Sorry, people who say broken headlights look good...are starting to **** me off. If you want that style put in some cash and buy a JDM front bumper kit with headlights that have a similar style/look.

The S2000 is a great car. You can find used one's fairly cheap. Honda has dropped the model so they are soon to become classics. I have driven an s2000's a few times and it is a great car.
The CR version is nice but def lots of $$$$
The problem with that car though is it would cost lots more money to make 300hp then to buy a cheap TII and get 400HP. You would even still have some money in the bank.Both are nice for what they do.

Not quite. S2k's handle awesome. I know I've driven a stock AP1 and chased the same one through some backroads. I had the power and have beat him in races, but that thing can turn faster than my car. This is with Tokico HP and Intrax springs (Not the best set up I know, but better than stock).

an S2000 is not a bad car at all, but when i had the money, and was ready to buy one....i chose not to for many reasons like the resale value sucks, over priced aftermarket parts that don't add crap for power, and they aren't fast at all...it competes with B16 swapped hatchbacks on most tracks.
to be honest, you shouldn't go talking **** on other forums when you drive a broke *** car.

mmm my best friend has a AP2.5(2008 its called ap2 but nothings the same) and he gets off the line crazy fast!
and he handles super clean in and out of apexes with no problem
ya he did pay a near 20k for it but he got his moneys worth!
dont get me wrong i would trade my fc for anything
but i think to compare the two is apples and oranges...
theres always someone faster and better

The S2000 bashing is funny, lol. The S2K is a badass car, period. I would love to own one but for $15k I'd rather build an FC that is faster in every way. The guys either a dick or you made a comment that attacked him.
Comparing one to an FC with some restoration work is retarded. For less than half the price you will hand him his *** in any form of racing. Since yours is mostly stock though you should ignore him and let him talk ****. You should get used to it too, just a part of this hobby. Usually the slower your car is, the less valuable your opinion is.
