This is easy. Connect your computer to the haltech, and switch the key to ON. Then turn the computer on, and start up the E6k software. When you run the software, at the first main screen, press "Y" to select online mode. There will be a loading bar at the bottom, and it should load quick. After that, you are online. Next, press alt-f and select load map. Then pick the map you want. When you load a map, a progress bar will come up. It's pretty slow though, loading a map into the E6k.

PS
Also before loading any map, SAVE the map first when connecting to the haltech just in case you need to back track.
It helps to have the maps in the same directory as the e6k executable file, that way you can find them faster.

Don't know much other than that, as i've never had problems. Make sure the file isn't read only maybe? Also on my computer, when running from a windows 98 dos prompt, my software does not work. When I boot up, I press f8 and select command prompt only and start the computer in MSDOS mode. Only then will my software work. What version are you using? I'm using v634, heard that was the best one.

XP might not work without a dos emulator. I didn't bother as I have an old laptop I can use anyway.
