looks a little better with them trimmed. I'm jealous, you get to go to e-town for drift nights and open track days. wish I lived down that way so I get get some seat time in. I've only got some 20-30mph drift experience right now. I need to scout some larger parking lots but can't afford anymore tickets so want to stay out of town a little. VT sucks...

anyway, your LS swap should be sweet despite your torque curve dropping off pretty early. I'm sticking with the rotary for the broader curve.

Check out www.D-faction.com they do events not terribly far from you.

OR make the hike down to NJ and come play... people come down from Canada for these events!

I just don't have the time or gas money right now to go down to jersey. I'm out of a job. Plus, I need seat time before I am confident enough to do an actual event. I just need some practice. I want to go down there sometime though, been talking about it with a friend for a while. maybe next summer when I have a job again I can make it down there a few times. my sevens coming apart right now for a rotisserie. I need to clean up the bottom and re coat it as well as do some welding and bracing on my inner rocker/sideframe and put new rockers on. its the only rust on the car though so it will only take a few days to fix. I also have a good oil drip now. after 2 days of sitting, there is a 3 1/2" spot on my garage floor so I have to get going on me T2 rebuild swap but I need at least another $1000 for all the parts to finish it including all new seals and gaskets. hoping to get all this done during the winter and have it ready for spring.

thanks for the d-faction site by the way, very helpful.

nonsense... these events ARE practice... you would be put in the C group whitch is all beginners and they have instructors there to help you out, you'll learn more in a few hours on the track then you can learn in a year on the street, it's a small 2 turn course. Once the guys running it see consistency and feel that your not going to do anything too dumb they move you up to B class which is on the big course.

I hear ya about being broke... not too much you can do about that... maybe sell a kidney.

If you new to drifting and want to get serious about it you might wanna hold off on aero, ect your just going to destroy it... invest the money in seat time and tires.

I'm going to have my car taken apart and back together before your "done"

Just get it drivable! I HATE projects that sit for years.

We are going to have to race next summer... LS2 FC vs. badass TII

Ugh, tell me about it. I've realized I need to stop making little parts for it and just get it drivable but making **** is the fun part.

We'll definitely have to have a little grudge match. Will you have a roll bar by next year? I'd love some tandem runs.

oh, I thought you meant they were actual amateur events as in competitive. that sounds great though, I will definitely get down there next summer in that case. I know almost all the theory of drifting and all the break loose methods, countersteering, etc, but I have to practice applying it while driving. I can drift perfect on dirt but thats easy, need more pavement time. I think I will learn pretty fast though.

and who said anything about aero? I just want to get my frame fixed, rockers with no holes on, and my swap done. then the coilovers and then the dtss eliminators (or at same time), and then those steering knuckles and a set of tie rods. then maybe some rims and THEN after all that, my widebody custom kit which will have the car down for a few months I'm sure.

It looks pretty good man!
I like the rear wheels, you should try to get a matching set for the front.

I tried that keyboard cleaner/blow dryer trick.

Didnt work with a blow dryer, it may work with the heat gun. Let me know how that works.

Torque drops around 5k -but HP jumps right in there... I'll also have a different intake manifold, cam and longtube headers.

wow, I take that back. That's the stock torque curve? I always hear everyone saying how the torque drops off early in the V8's, guess tons of people don't know what they're talking about. That will be very fast in that case.

(kool aid man) "oooooooooh yaaaaaa"!

That looks sweet, can't wait to see it with the kit though. side skirts would make those flares really blend with the car even better if you get the ones that go up to the molding on the quarter and front fender. So whats up on the power side? whens that going down?

Yeah man, you definitely put in some work for proper fitment. **** looks right, reminds of Mad Max on some old skool 80's....really original.

I got some low low offset 15 inch enkei mesh, would that be adequate for these flares?
