They look nice and structurally sound. It'll be a few months till I get a strutbar set.

To be honest, I think most of the strut bars out there for the FC are garbage. The Megan Racing bars are very weak based on their appearance. While the center bar may be quite strong in compression or extension, the bolt-on nature of it means that each end is allowed to pivot. This means the strut towers still are allowed movement due to the joint. Notice they also don't tie into the firewall. The towers can move front to back, up and down, side to side or any combination of those movements. Isn't that what strut bars are supposed to prevent? Though I guess for $50, you can't complain too much.
Disclaimer: I am about to release my own line of FC front and rear three point strut bars onto the market. I am not talking down Megan Racing products because I will be producing my own. I am producing my own because I simply believe that mine will be the best bars on the market compared to anything else.

My bar is not steel, it doesn't interfere with installation of big turbos, fits both TII and NA and will be cheaper then Mazdatrix. My only two areas of concern are the power steering pump, and it will almost certainly interfere with some FMIC kits.
The final prototype of the front bar is done, the flanges are going to the laser cutter this week. Jigging is complete as well. Don't know when it will hit the market as I am going to release a "line" of stuff at the same time. I think this is also the limit of what I can say without being a forum vendor, so that's my next step as well.

I'm in the market for a front strut bar for my s5 vert. When are you releasing yours? thanks.
The Mazdatrix 3 point bar for the 2nd gen is without a doubt a good piece, but for the price I would expect a lot more. It appears to use the same size steel tubing as the CP bar did. My bar is a bit similar to both the Mazdatrix and CP bars. My bar bolts to the firewall lip (like the Mazdatrix bar) instead of the sheet metal above it (like the CP bar). I based my flange design on roughly on the CP strut tower flanges but modified them greatly to remove interference with the fuse box. My bar also does not hit the fan or alternator. Though I am worried now about the power steering pump as I don't have a car with power steering to test on. I may just have to send out a sample or two and see what happens.

Bringing this back from the dead, no one mentioned the FC mazdaspeed bar. Possibly because they're like hen's teeth.
To that end I am currently prototyping a design which is similar. I had an old crummy bar and it made it so I could not access the coolant fill cap or the oil cap without contorting my hand. It also was contacting the top of the alternator. The previous owner put a rubber stopper between it and the bar. I felt like I should design a better one.
