Mine Floods all the time, I have an injector kill-switch that the previous owner installed to help start the car... at the moment the starter isn't cranking and the solenoid isn't clicking. I guess that's why they call it a project? Anyone have new S4 injectors they'd like to sell?

s5 na..... never

i did have a s4 na that liked to flood here in there. but i found a solution and it maybe usefull to others.

under the dash on the driver side there is a relay. going to it is a wire that is black with white stripes. this wire has to do with turning on the fuel pump.

I cut the wire and ran in a switch into it, and mounted the switch on my dash.

fuel killswitch.

if the car ever started to flood i would turn off the fuel and when it started to kick over from losing gas i would flip it on and the car would start. its also a good idea to kill the engine with the switch then turn the key off.that would clear the housings from all gas making it easier to start the next time.

any questions pm me.

im thinking bout putting it in my s5 na even though it hasnt flooded on me..... yet. if i do i take pics and do a write up on it.

S5 doesnt need that, full throttle then turning over disables the injectors till you let go of the throttle.

I tested it and its true.

I have a very unpredictable clutch and I will sometimes stall because of that... only then will it flood.

I have to either coast up or down a hill and catch it in gear. but then its fine, I could shut it off immediatly after catching it in gear and it would start right back up.

S4-GXL-88. No flooding yet. 50,000 miles on new engine. Meticulously maintained.
