convertable with a hard top?
it might be in a year but me and my friend are gonna make a hard top just for the back half of the top. one reason for this is so the car will still be a targa and a vert. we boath have verts and his is for drift only. so it wont have a top at all. when i say drift only i mean this car will never see road time. more than likely we will test it on his car. plus he is a body man that used to make hard tops for boxter's for a place called kanetic's they made quite a few. so his know how and my funding we will have at least one hard top and like my other post we will make it so we can put a roof spoiler on it... i dont know why i just love that look... lol
how is this working out for you?
Staticguitar had/has (I dunno if he still has it) a Targa. It was a coupe with the targa section of the vert molded in. Kind of a vert, but not really. When the vert was working, driving around in the winter wasn't that bad. Heated up pretty quick cuz the cabin was so small.

I would love to make a retractable hardtop for the FC. If I get the funds, it will be done. With enough funds, NOTHING is impossible 
I would see the Miata-solution with the sides coming up to the rear part of the door being hinged so they can clear the sides of the car somehow. Wondering if the top part must be foldable upwards and back, instead of inwards like now.
I'd say the hardest part isn't making a retractable hardtop. The hard part is putting motors on it!
