convertable with a hard top?

Yeah man! That's what I like to hear! I rode around all the time with the top down in 20 degree snowy weather. That Wankel makes plenty of heat to share! One time I even did it parade style with my buddy and our GF's through town!

yep, mazda made them. my $350 vert had a removable targa section, don't they all?

Yes. All verts, from the factory, have the removable targa section.

I would love to make a retractable hardtop for the FC. If I get the funds, it will be done. With enough funds, NOTHING is impossible

I would see the Miata-solution with the sides coming up to the rear part of the door being hinged so they can clear the sides of the car somehow. Wondering if the top part must be foldable upwards and back, instead of inwards like now.

I'd say the hardest part isn't making a retractable hardtop. The hard part is putting motors on it!
