hey everyone, i just got popped by the cops for my racing beat headers and i have to take my car to a referee in california. cali is strict on emmissions. has anyone had this happen to them yet? how much do you think i will have to pay them?

 

I don't think you'll be able to bribe these people... they probably get attempts all the time, but if they get busted they can (and probably will) lose their license. It's the same reason why it's hard to find an illegal smog place - the smog technicians have too much to lose.

 

ive had 2 ref tickets in my old 240sx... since you seem to only have headers, put the stock crap back on so you dont have to pay alot.. otherwise wait til you get hte ticket in the mail and pay the fine, its usually a few hundred$$.. ive paid over $1k for both those instances put together.. its really a heart breaking thing makes you want to give up your hobby.
