I'd repaint my current car a nice gunmetal and put a ball bearing turbo on it. I think that'd cover me.

edit: I take that back, I'd like some nicer gauges; probably a racepack dash/logger system, Nexus gauges elsewhere, and I'd upgrade the PCM to a Big Stuff 3.

Then I'd be covered. My currently ~750 RWHP is plenty, I guess.

I'd track down a Noble green efini FC. Take it to the mazda dealership to have every piece of trim, engine/components, body panels, and every wire replaced for brand new parts. Keep that sh*t stock as &$%#. Probably wouldn't leave my driveway after I get the parts replaced. Just going to be a photo *****.

Then get a Cosmo, Rebuild the 20b to make it spool a 1.4AR something. Stock exterior painted fire truck red with gold flake. Sitting on Work Meisters dipped in black chrome. Interior will be all black leather with a creme suede headliner and down the center of the seats. Gonna make b**ches wear gloves and take off their shoes when they get in my car. You get a spec of dirt in the carpet, I don't care how fast I'm going, your going out the door.

Odd, I can't edit my previous post:

To better spell out the specified questions:

-Engine

The current 347" forged rotating assembly, heads/cam LS1 turbo is fine with me.

-Lube

Current Royal Purple turbo specific oil with redline elsewhere works for me.

-Cooling

Custom aluminum radiator with stainless radiator hoses and full shrouds, including taurus fan. aka, what's in the car now.

-Fuel

Sumped tank with Aeromotive A1000 and -10 AN fuel line. aka, what's in the car now.

-Electrical

Current stripped and tucked wiring harness is great. I'd like to do an Big Stuff 3 computer, other than that, it's 100% where I want it.

-Clutch/trans/Drive train/prop/

Current setup (built T56) with the nearly completed 3.55 ratio Ford Explorer rear end that is going in this fall, and a twin disc textralia clutch. aka, what's going in it now. Seeing a pattern here?

-Suspension/Steering/Brakes

Current KYB AGXs w/ Eibachs, manual rack, and slotted rotors with Hawk HPS pads is great for my uses.

-Body/wheels/interior/Trix.

My cheap 962 XXRs and Nitto DRs are fine, I like them. Body kit on the car is great, and a fresh paint job would finish it off (though the current paint is good also). Interior is great, minus the aforementioned gauge improvements.

A week late but....

Probably about 3 [maybe more ..]

First: 1991 spec SUPER stock Turbo.. Brand new EVERYTHING. I'd try to convince Mazda to build me [or help me get built] a new frame even.. EVERYTHING stock. [with the exception of better coating for metals, and beefier wiring if it has to be fabricated] I'd cover this puppy with clearbra like there's no tomorrow.. and then only take it out of the garage on occasion to keep it clean.
Black with enough clearcoat to make it look 10 feet deep. 91' coupe wheels

Second: 1991 Turbo, forest green. << Daily driver..
Swap the engine to a 13B-REW [Aluminum plates], FD tranny, FD rear end... Power plant frame it. Every reliability mod in the books and forums.. For the engine, all of the electronics, and everything else. Remote adjustable suspension, keyless entry, security system that will fire a flamethrower at your feet if you try to break in. I'd like to replace the subframes with something lighter [but equally or more strong] too, but I don't know what metals would be appropriate. Titanium?
Full custom exhaust.. R32 GT-R wheels. Drilled and slotted rotors. Wind swinging front plate holder ^_- [wind pushes it up for airflow and to confuse the cops ]
Super dent-resistant doors.. It also shoots the flamethrower if you hit the door hard enough to ding a normal door ^_-
I'd also like it to be running on Megasquirt via a Mac Mini in the dash with a foldable screen and voice recognition [the mini would hook up to an amp to power the speakers.. iTunes for the music] Sprint wireless internet adapter to get online.
...and maybe, just maybe... Gullwing doors. ^_^

Third would probably be a pure track car.. Built from the ground up out of better materials. Titanium again? Probably so for the frame, body panels made from carbon fiber.
Similar drivetrain to the previous car, but bumped up to 20B [aluminum plates again, plus a little extra weight in the back to correct the balance] Push up the HP enough to make all the V8 lovers go away ^_- [sorry guys, I'm a traditionalist ] Custom built racing seat.. least obtrusive, compliant roll bar. minimal aero mods. 6 Piston front brakes, drilled and slotted. Airbrake rear wing [stock appearance] Painted black and forest green..

Yea I think that about does it..

If I had money, I would buy this bad boy from Japan, import it here, and drive it at vintage racing and time attack events. I'd love to slice n dice with LeMans GTP cars.

Gentlemen, behold! The 1994 Artnature Mazda RX-7 LeMans race car:

http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009...-fc3s-rx7.aspx

If I built one myself, it'd be a reverse-engineered version of the Artnature LM car for use as a time attack/road race car. It would be updated, though: The body would be C/F with a slightly different headlight treatment, as that's the only part of the LM car I don't like. Oh, and a full-race 16X engine when it comes out (and if it's everything it's cracked up to be), ported, turboed, with ceramic apex seals. Rotary+useable torque=win. I really hope the 16X will be as good as advertised, I would love to turbo it and swap it into my FC.

id buy a lot of rx7 and play destruction derby LOL

whos down??

id actually build my own track with both a circuit and drift track in the Philippines... yes the Philippines cause we own alot of land there and it would cost way cheaper to build and get permits lol.. and it will be exclusive to racers from around the world to come to the PI to race and compete.. then again whats stopping me??

I have to agree with building a house and a sweet garage or just a sweet garage that I live in.

All I would need money wise is just enough to finish my two FCs

One is a stock looking 86 with an LS1 (that I don't have yet). More of a DD

And the other is basically a 20b track car that I plan to drive on the street.

Having a good shop and some time to work on my projects is truly what I need for my cars.

I want a cool air intake. a Nos fogger system and a T4 turbo, an AIC controller. direct-port nitrous injection. and a stand alone fuel management system. Not a bad way to spend 10,000 dollars.

the guy at the performance shop wouldnt sell me the two big bottles of NOS... He said i would blow myself up.

To extend on the NASA build

- Have Mazda redesign and build a brand new chassis using the shuttle material integrate roll cage to design to reinforce chassis.
- Redesign the electrical system with integrated artificial intelligence that can diagnose itself, detect popos, anti-theft, and connect you to the Houston
- variable wings deploys and adjusts based on speed automatically
- Supercharge and Turbocharge using liquid oxygens
- Redesigned housing made of shuttle material, extra ribs on the housing
- E-Shaft made of space shuttle material
- 4 rotor based engine design
- Liquid Nitrogen cooled intercooler
- Variable suspension controlled by the AI that adjusts itself to driving terrain, driving style, temperature, weather
- RWD
- Liquid nitrogen cooled intake manifold
- hidden dual rocket engine producing enough thrusts to reach 11.2km / sec
- hidden wing deploys when rocket engine is activated
- variable license plate that flips to fake tags when rocket engine is activated
- ejectable seats and targa top
- anti-flood button that cranks the engine while shuts the pump off.
- quantum fluctuator and wormhole generator.

This setup is designed for when **** hits the fence, you can hop into your FC3S and know that no one will be able to stop you. Unless you lost your key and are waiting for locksmith to come a rekey your ignition cylinder. I think this setup is a pretty well rounded setup for all occasions whether you like to pwn local kids drifting in back road, cruise around the F1 city race, or just a general all around car that won't get you bored in traffic jam.

I think I need to win 10 lottery for this setup tho

-Inboard-mounted coilovers
-carbon ceramic brakes
-16x10" wheels
-carbon fiber hood, fenders, door skins, ect.
-gut rear floor, replace with space frame and carbon fiber panel
-roll cage gusseted to the roof pillars
-relocate radiator to behind driver/passenger. route high power fans to suck air from under the car, exhaust under rear wing
-Give engine high power alternator to power fans, along with rally lights. Fog lamps integrated into fairings in the roof.
-Roof scoop replaces aircon system. Heat, radio/ipod, and four speakers/two tweeters retained.
-Engine is a single turbo 13B-REW, est output of 400hp. Transmitted through a T5 and a Quaife rear diff.
-Aero is reminiscent of the 1987 Audi Pikes Peak Quattro rally car. Underbody is fully diffused to the rear bumper. Custom side skirts to take advantage of the ventilation fans 'sucker car' effect. Skirts are hinged and edged with delrin so they can ride curbs and speed bumps w/o damage

I'd give millions to mazda to reproduce every piece of plastic for the FC so that we wouldnt have to worry about brittle plastic anymore.

oh and give em a few million to put towards their next rotary powered car too

and if i had any money left over i'd buy myself a rotary powered vehicle for every day of the week. a repu, original cosmo, turbo fb, 20b fc, 26bfd, and a 13b bridgeport rx3

Added to my fc:

RB aluminum side and intermediate housings for street port
Turblown's coating for rotor and side housings, and rotors
Custom turblown manifold/turbo setup
Cooling mist meth injection kit
Fresh white paint all around with some lime green race inspired design
Lime green rims
An inspection sticker

That would be it for realistic if I won the lotto. Dream would be a 4-rotor, but that would have to be a give it to some one else and say "just build it" kind of deal.
