BOV Thread

Post the BOV on your FC. Picture of the setup, and a sound clip or video would be appreciated.

Quick question, do you think a BOV is needed for a stock TII turbo? Which will be upgraded eventually.

It's not necessary for the stock set up. The stock bov works just fine, but an aftermarket one makes a cool noise. I just have one to make my car obnoxious.

That's sorta why I wanna get one

But I plan on doing the swap then adding that and slowly upgrading pieces like FMIC, injectors and everything then a bigger turbo and I'd already have the BOV.

The stock BOV is actually audible inside the cabin (don't know about outside the car) once you get a decent exhaust and intake. If it wasn't recirculating it would probably be even louder.

While its cool to hear some kind of sound, my friends and I make fun of skittles WAY too much for me to ever become anything like them.

You can just disconnect the outlet on the stock BOV and plug the hole in the intake if all you want is more noise can't you?

Maybe this thread is pointless, but I had figured that different BOVs sounded different. Pictures are great and all, but I'd like to hear them unless they're all the same...

They do, however it's also relative to how many PSI you're running.

manuelxj - Are you running stock boost, or more?

That was pretty sweet, I'm looking for something a little more high pitched.

Sounds like a AGP for HKS SS BOV. Can't really tell because he isn't running much boost.
