thought i would post up my progress so far on my 1990 convertible turbo swap. i got the car with a blown coolant seal for 900 bucks. i am keeping mostly everything stock. maybe a exhaust and fcd.

the day i got it....

i wont be picking the motor up for about another week or so but i have been working on cleaning up the interior and engine bay ect.

engine bay before and after...

i will post up more pics of anymore progress i make on the car and when i get the motor and start putting it in.

$900? DANG! That is clean for the price. Good find. Makes me want to build the turbo vert I have dreamed about for the past 10 years.

nice vert, good cleaning effort youve done as well, looks like your going to have to get the toothbrush and green stuff into the engine block as well, it just doesnt look right putting that dirty ole block in that clean engine bay

A wire brush works well when cleaning all the buildup off of the block. It will go much faster than a toothbrush too.

If I'm not mistaken, you still need a hub for that, don't you? So it will be even closer. Looks nice.
If I had an engine hoist I'd take my engine out to clean it better. Buuuut I don't. lol
I'm loving how clean everything is.
