Hard to steer.
Hello.
I have a 91 base.
For suspension mods I have PBM coilovers, s4 control arms with teals extended balljoints, poly control arm bushings, s13 tie rod ends to eliminate bumpsteer.
So the problem I have been having is sometimes if I try to jerk the wheel fast and turn the wheel it will hesitate and become really hard to turn for a second and then get past it and keep turning. I can't try to do feint drifts because the steering just seems to like catch on something. Im guessing its because of my suspension stuff, but Im not sure what could be the culprit. Please help.

My first instinct would be to inspect the electronic power steering system. If it's not responding to steering input and then over boosting the steering effort you can experience this issue.
The next thing to check is the lower steering shaft. Inspect the u-joints and ensure there is no rust powder around them. This indicates a failed u-joint. You can always spray the u-joints on the steering shaft with a little penetrating oil and see if steering feel improved. If it does, the steering shaft should be replaced due to a bad u-joint.
