I actually just found this thread, which thankfully includes dyno results:

About 10-15 hp gain and power continues climbing closer to 7.5k. And you can retain the S4 throttle body and metering pump. Interesting.

I'm trying to make a list of things i'll need.
s5 upper intake
s5 rats nest. then I should be able to plug the vdi solenoid into my already existing plug that is just dangling there, right? no need for an rpm switch?
egr delete
s5 acv. should bolt right up and has an outlet to run my 5th and 6th ports?
Buncha silicone lines to replace everything
I already have new o rings for injectors to replace them
What about pulsation damper? order new? banjo bolt block off? s5 solid one?
And I have no need for emissions where I live. It can all get deleted.
anything else?

You won't need an RPM switch since the S5 ECU will handle that function. I would need one since my car is S4, which is what I was referring to above.

As for the FPD, you should read the different opinions and go with whatever you feel is right (be it a banjo bolt or a new damper). My $0.02 is that the FPD is maybe necessary on a Turbo car since lean mixture could mean detonation, but not on an NA car. My car has been running the bolt for awhile and there are no adverse effects. But there are lots of threads on the topic and a new damper is not super expensive (in relative terms I mean, it is $120 or so), so you should read all the info and make your own call. The original damper is a gamble, so I would advise against using that.

no real updates.
Changed the tranny fluid and put a new thermostat in it. Ended up breaking off one of the bolts in there, so that's promising. I got it out though without much fuss.
New s5 intake manifold and rats nest got delivered today. It'll be a bit before I actually tackle that project.
Still doing some research on the vacuum lines and how to get the aux ports to work.

I'm still doing my research on this swap.
Does anyone have any of the info from this site saved? I keep seeing the link everywhere but its dead
http://homepage.mac.com/carldavis/intake.html
Since my s4 LIM only has the one vacuum line to run both the actuators, i basically run a line from that, up to where the green and blue line from the s5 actuators would connect??

(Which is capped off for some reason)

Or do I need the s5 ACV with the vacuum line coming off of that?

the S5 ACV has a little port in it that is basically on the inlet to get pressure to open the 6 ports with, if that makes sense.

you could do either, since you have a solenoid, you might as well use it

Doing a little mockup of the intake and rats nest while I wait for other parts to get delivered. I broke a couple nipples off the solenoids while changing vacuum lines, i'm hoping I can just use a couple off the old rats nest. I think it'll be easier to see where some lines go after I take apart the old one.
I also read somewhere that I need s5 fuel rails? is that true? I thought they were basically the same, besides the pulsation damper
new wheels. who says you cant polish a turd.

those 5 right in the middle are for the oil injectors, right?

I Still haven't tackled the intake swap yet. I'm a little nervous that ill get it all apart and be in way over my head with all the vacuum lines.
But I did swap out the gas tank. Its amazing it ran at all with that old one in there. it was so bad.
Also getting rid of the auto seatbelts that have never worked. I took the motor apart and found the cable broken off in there and all wound around the spool.
Seems to run pretty well. haven't gone too far yet, still uninsured and not registered. CEL did come on and it was in limp mode, I shut the key off quick and then it was fine. No codes were stored when I got back home. hmmm.
