5 to 4 lug Conversion

I want to go 4 lug without sacrificing braking efficiency. I want to get old school JDM wheels that are mainly 4 lug. Are there any 4 lug brake kits? Can I use a 4 lug hub with s5 brakes if I redrill the rotors? What is the easiest way to do this?

How To Install 4 Piston Brakes On A 4 Lug FC RX-7

That should answer your question as to how to do the fronts. When I was going to do something similar, the rears *looked* like I just had to swap to the 5 lug caliper (for the vented rotors) and have the vented rotors re-drilled. I ended up doing a 5 lug swap, so I can't verify this. If this is not the case, you would either have to find a solution that would work or swap to the non-vented rears from the 4 lug model.

Honestly, it's a lot of work just to reduce the options of wheel choice. You can do it, but I wouldn't advise it. Wheel adapters do exist, or you may be able to have the wheels re-drilled at a machine shop. I'd take either of those options before altering my wheel lug setup. If you go the adapter route, measure carefully, use the appropriate hub rings to keep the centering hub-centric, and make sure when you get wheels that the offset allows them to stay within the fenders.

Good luck,
