5 lug to 4 lug conversion?

Ok guys, im really in a dilemma here...I had an 87 n/a and some old dude hit me and totaled the car, luckily i took my rims(4 lug) off before the accident(or he would die) and i just bought an 89 gxl(leather, power=) My rims are 4 lug. The gxl i just bought is 5 lug, im kinda freakin, there almost brand new rims. people have told me that u can buy conversion kits for it. Ive only seen 4 lug to 5 lug converion kits, not 5 lug to 4 lug kits. I need help bad ;( Is there anyone who knows where to buy 5 lug to 4 lug conversion kits, or is there any other possible way to put the rims on an 89 gxl?(without damaging the rims)
Any input is appreciated.
-Thanks

why not sell the wheels and get some that are 5 lug? going to 4 lug would be a downgrade, the 5 lugs had the better brakes.

you could probably do a 5 to 4-lug conversion just like a 4 to 5. the reason you don't see them is because no one wants the shitty brakes. the 4 to 5 lug conversion is to get the 4 piston calipers in front, and vented rotors in back. so don't swap in 4 lug brakes, jsut buy the same wheels in 5 lug, and sell the old ones.
just my opinion.

well, i spent 1400 bux for the rims on the internet, there about 1-2 months old, u think im gunna get that much out of them, i doubt it, plus then i have to sell them, wait for the money, order new ones, and wait for them to be shipped. Whatever is less hassle i guess...

less hassle, oh sure, changing your whole hub and wheel assembly is far less hassle than selling your rims and buying new ones, smoke another one brother

I agree that you should just sell the wheels and get 5-lug wheels.

But, I would think that you could probably find someone to swap with you locally if you really want to downgrade and keep your wheels.

the thing is, my 87 n/a is 4 lug, its totaled, but still sitting in my driveway. I chose to keep it, and part some stuff out and keep some things.

seriously im with everyone else here dont bother downgrading .... i have an 88 na base with 4 lugs and i hate it the breaking is nowehere near what i want it to be .... and my car is the lighest it can get ..... a gxl is a few hunfdred lbs heavier ... so the s 4 breaks will definatly not be worth the hassle lol

aww man dont do that, i have an 86 n/a and i converted my car to 5 lug, it was well worth it, for the brakes, the calipers, and more rim options, i bought a sick *** pair of 18s with huge lips and thats the one reason i converted to a 5 lug. i would sell the rims on ebay... you might not get what you paid for them but i bet you could like 1200 or somewhere close... i got my rims for 800 bucks and they are awesome... you can get a wheel+tire package on ebay for like 1000 bucks... i need some parts for my 86 if your parting out your wrecked car let me know

Why in the world would you dump $1400 into 4lug rims? (I'm not even going to mention that that's more than the car was probably even worth)
