ok, stock unrebuilt 20b, non sequential stock turbos, i swtiched from the e6k to the e11 so i am now running a timing split. it dynoed low with the e6k, since then i have put a bigger ignition, the e11, reworked the ic piping, and put a cat into it. at the moment its tuned up to about 4500rpm where it goes too rich and starts to misfire, ive mostly been working on the driveability stuff and at this point i can toss anyone the keys cause it runs like stock.

next we're waiting on an lsm-1 wideband, and then i can do full throttle, at the wg boost, then i can turn on the boost controller and tune it up to about 10psi, and then dyno battle the stock ecu 20b truck

You guys got a wide-band, right?
Try and check the AFR's.
Sometimes extra backpressure causes the AFR's to run rich, and that will give you a weird smell...

well i put the wideband on it and i made a bunch of changes to the idle (it was kinda lumpy before) and up to about 2k it needed tweaking. whats also interesting, in my quest to keep the misfires minimal, i lowered the timing under 2k rpms and not only is it smoother, but the turbo spools faster

funny smells almost gone too
