I never used to like the way 3-rotors sounded... too flat, without the crispness that 2-rotors have.

Those vids changed my mind... 3-rotors CAN sound great So now I want one, and an early Mustang or Falcon to put it in.... fat chance though right?

No, fat chance meaning I'll never have the kind of money do so something like that Even doing it sleazy-style (triple side-drafts, home-modified distributor, farm nothing out, etc) we'd still be talking about $10k or so for the project.

peejay, have you ever seen the vids on 3rotor.com? The Pac Performance RX-3 sounds incredibly cool, rather it did when it still had a 20B in it.

I first saw a 20B in person back in '97 and thought it was cool because of the novelty of three rotors and the name 20B as opposed to 10A, 12A, 13A, 13B etc, but it wasn't untill I first heard some old wav files from Australia (before MP3s caught on) that I got hooked. Then I found 3rotor.com and downloaded his wav files, then the vids when they were put up.

The sound really is what got me addicted

Really? That's the car that made me not like the way the 20B sounds. It's too flat-sounding and when they start it up and rev it, it sounds very "tight" in that it doesn't seem too rev-happy.

Hmm, that's interesting. Well, here is a cool one of it reving and doing a burnout.

I love the idle of this one. (high RPM misses though... weird)

Just some of the reasons why I love the 20B

I'll be doing mine at least 50% for the sound. I'm not aiming for tons of HP (maybe a maximum of 400HP at the eccentric shaft) because I could get that much out of a built 13B with a huge turbo. What I want is more torque and the awesome sound without pushing the engine very hard. If I can get a good couple of years out of the engine without a failure, it'll have paid for itself many times over.
