Three Rotor

Does anyone know where I can get a Three Rotor at a fairly cheap price?
Don't want to spend too much on buying it, plan on building it before going in the car.
Another question, If anyone knows, have reliable is the motor compared to the 13BT and the 13B REW, under higher boost?

Yeah, theres a fairly cheap already built motor up here in Ontario.....

$8000

How reliable are they compared to two rotors? just as much.

If you're truly interested in it, pm R.P.M. - his name is Joe, he's doing a 1/2 bridged S5 TII motor for me right now.

Yeah, that's a little out of my budget.
I'm looking for something long term.
Hoping to purchase to motor and build it slowly as I get the funds.

egh...

You should be able to find a used/blown/nearly blown coe for that price....I've seen cosmo 3 rotors in Quebec (long blocks) with tranny/ecu for 3500 cdn....so you aren't too far off

Dude, I was once a dreamer like you and sat awake at night dreaming of the day when I would have a 20B Convertible. Still dreaming, but thinking more realistically. Unless you are an awesome wrencher with tons of tools, welder, etc., think more about a T II.

Most 20B's are in the US$4,000 range.
Hit eBay and punch in keyword search "20B".
I'd suggest looking for other options.

I'd have to agree with Ted...you are talking about tens of thousands of dollars and alot of fabricating....stick with a 13BRE and port that. It uses the same ports as 20b, except 1 less rotor. They can be had for well undfer your budget, and they almost bolt into FC's

Flash Options has a 20B for $2200, but since I've never bought from them and have no idea of the condition of the engine, you're on your own with it.

I don't know if this is the same exact engine, but I've seen them with a $2200 20B for a LONG time.

If your on a budget dont even think about it.

Paid $3500USD for a C-series 20B that only needed one rotor replaced.

The project has cost me alot of money and more hours than I care to count. Still a few weeks away from start up.

Just a small list for you to consider:

20B block
Engine Rebiuld
Heavy duty Clutch $$
Flywheel
Fuel pumps
Fuel lines
FPR
Fuel rails
Fuel Injectors
Fuel Filter
Coils
Turbo
Manifold
Wastegate
Subframe
ECU
Rad
Intercooler and piping
Oil coolers
Oil cooler lines
Thermostat
Exhaust system
Gauges
Wide band
Rims
Tires
Coilovers
Bumpsteer adaptors
Sway bars
Brake upgrades
KAAZ Diff.
Chromoly Axels
..............

And the list goes on. If your going to do a 20B project it should be done right.

I'm sure there are many more 20B projects abandoned than completed.

Try doing a web search on "flash options problems".
I found at least one guy who had problems with their transaction.

I believe that so-called "$2,200 20B" isn't even in stock.
If you try and purchase it, they will try and get you to pay up front, and they cannot confirm the motor is sitting in their warehouse.

Yes, the price is cheap, but $2,200 is a lot of money to be getting nothing in return if the deal goes sour.

Yep all things that should be considered. BUT I would make the list something like this>>>>>>>

-Minus subframe, - minus bump steer correction, +plus GTO's 20B conversion, Equal Good Times.

Right. I mean, personally, an extra grand or so is WORTH knowing that I'm getting an engine and I'm not getting screwed. Like I said, I haven't done business with them, so if he decides to, he's on his own. That's why I still haven't bought it yet. I'd rather just save a little more money and buy from a reputable seller.

I may be tempted into this, it seems liek a very nice setup. I don't know if I can bring myself to not boost my 20b FD project. I may want more Power and I <3 Boost.
