the e11 lets you output the right tach signal, so the stock tach works fine.

... Odd.

I use the microtech output as well, but my tach reads double. Any certain setting you need? Doesn't the tach read like a 4cyl or something?

Which color wire is from the tach straight? Am I missing something?

Stock RX-7 tach reads like a 4 cylinder. 99% of all 20B-capable ECUs will output a 6 cylinder 'signal', but some, like the E11 as j9fd3s mentioned, have a multiplier/divider and can be used on a stock tach without adjustment.

As for me...

Yeah.. Did that. Doesn't work. Tach reads 1.5 - 2X the actual. Maybe I need a converter? Ideas?

So it took the "output" #1? vs #2? Odd. Wonder why it would require the stronger signal?

it was either that or shoehorn the cosmo cluster in there, which would have been neat, but it had a burned out flourescent light bulb...
