Starting to finalize the details for my project Cosmo

Right now I am working on my current 20B project car. 1990 JC Cosmo Type S.

side port 20B
fresh rebuilt

Haltech e11v2
profec B Spec 2
Jacobs box

3 X 1680 injectors (replace secondary injectors)
replace FPR
replace PD
add 2nd pump ( most likey a walboro 255)
ssb fuel lines 8an feed and 6an return
fuel pressure guage
aquamist water injection

custom twin pass radaitor
custom bar and plate FMIC
GT40R 88mm with 1.06 a/r
Tial 44mm gate

FC cluth and brake pedal
FC 5 speed trans
hks twin plate

This is not going to be drag car.

The plan is to make 500 - 550rwhp and spool very quick, as now just crusing the car around it almost nevers gets above 4000rpm. crusing on the highway at 100kpm its at 2200rpm. so I want it to be able to start spooling very quick

here is the comp map

in looking at the comp map, Im thinking it will make around
450 - 460 @ .9 - 1 bar
~500 @ 1.1 to 1.2bar
~550 @ 1.3 - 1.4bar

I know we all like big turbo and I though about a GT42R, but Im not planning on making 700 - 800hp. I wounder if there is something in the middle like a GT41..

any comments questions or recommations are welcome.

here is a link to project car right now

If your going to throw the walbro in the tank next to the stock cosmo unit I would make sure they flow the same. I don't know first hand but I have read that if there is a difference in fuel pressure where both pumps meet it can create a problem.

not sure if the gt42r will bring on the boost quick enough

im starting to lean to the GT42R but I have only found 1 dyno sheet with it. and it was only @ 8psi. is there more sheets out there?

I asked him when did the turbo start to spool but he never answerd back. anyone else with this turbo care to share when does it start spooling?

kewl keep us updated. I went to a Garrett turbo shop here. they recommend a Garrett / HKS hybird. he said he can build it cheaper than GT42R

Garrett T4 flang 1.06 exh housing
82mm exh wheel
GT42 char dual BB
HKS 94mm Comp wheel
HKS T51 Kai comp housing

said it should spool quick on street ported 20B.
