Question on 3 rotors

How long is a 3 rotor engine?
I'm thinking of using this in the next project an in a trim down spec, meaning get rid of stock parts like power steering - air - etc...the bulky plenum intake & substitute it with individual throttle. The rest will be fabricated. The 3 rotor blocks + pulley + the alternator -- how long is this engine?

I have a seven, a Lotus 7 & currently have a honda f20c with rotrex supercharger. Another project coming that I would like to use the 3 rotor. I don't have problem in the width but the length is limited.
I appreciate any help.

its about 22" from the tip of the water pump pulley to the bellhousing flange. using a different water pump than the cosmo, might be able to take a little off of that too

Thanks for the help..... I measured it, looks like i have plenty of room 36"

Another question, since i'm deleting all the stock parts that i mentioned and trim the engine as much as i can --- do some porting, i hate to buy the whole engine in ebay that cost $5,000 to $7,000 then tear it down.
Is it possible for me to source the 20B housings - rotor - front & back housing and go from there (cheaper way). ????

It's much cheaper to buy a used complete motor than buy just the parts that you need

Agreed, it's cheaper and everything is usually there.

Often at times, if I've ever gotten an engine, I usually end up tearing it down anyway. Last 20B I had ran 5 years ago, sat, and somehow, one of the side-seals cracked...

Shortblock is ~12" tall x 12" wide x 24" long.

A teardown is a good exercise for having a reliable finished product. Better to find and correct issues early than on startup day.
