Can i ask why the tripples? as apposed to a single?

pro's?
decreased spool time?
internal wastegates?

con's?
complexicity
non equel length mani? (is it equel length?)?
more things giving off heat in the engine bay?

Welp, since the OP seems to have abandoned this thread...

Nah, not too many pics, cause we're still working on it.
In fact, we just built the exhaust side 3-into-1 collector this past weekend.

No, it is not equal length.
I'd like to see how this is possible given you don't cut any of the stock sheet metal away!
The turbos are staggered, and I question if the lowest / front turbo has enough elevation off of the oil drain to be effective - guess we're going to find out. :P

Yes, these things are all internally gated.
Garrett GT2871R's, 1.06 A/R turbine section
By my calculations, these things should put down about 200 / each comfortably, and max out around 300 / each if you got the ***** to tune with race gas.
Turbine size and turbine A/R is the big question, as I don't think anyone has gone with this combo?
There are FD owners who have tried these things with the smaller 0.84 A/R and claimed it was too small on a 13B.
Another also claimed you need to run GT3037's one per rotor...
We'll see what we're able to do.

Why triples?
Cause you just don't see a 20B set-up like this too often.
Big singles are too common.
We just wanted to be different!

Almost all the exhaust piping is going to be heatwrapped.
I'm looking to run turbine blankets on all three turbos.
Turbine position and exhaust piping is extremely tight all over.
Heat control is going to be an issue, but hopefully exhaust wrap will take care of most of those headaches.
It's not going to be pretty, but this bitch is going to generate a lot of heat under the hood.
So what is the exhaust wrap is going to eat the welds...

hey, i finally got it all back together and cleaned up, but didnt post any pics sorry. i just wanted to get it over with. the car is great but im heading back to the states in about a year with a new family and have absolutely nothing to my name except this car. i thought it was something that i always wanted ( and it is ) but just not at this point in time. so im actually going to have to sell it..... sucks to just end it like this but theres more important things in life for me rite now....maybe later on down the road.....

Sounds like a rational choice. Good luck with everything.

So you went with triples because its different? Then why be a dick to this guy for going twins? Its just as different plus if done right adds in the benifit of harder engineering which is in my eyes gets more respect. Its not all that hard to make a 1 to 2 divider for the center port if your a decent fabricator.

I'm sure the triple turbos draw a good rise from the ricer crowed but when i see a 3 rotor with triples I just think "someone who took the easy route because they cant fab".

Well, different than what most people do with a 20B...yes.

WTF?
You had to stick your own 2 cents and not let this thread die?
I just made a comment about how stupid to split 3 rotors into 2 turbos.
If you got a personal problem with ME, send me a PM.
You're just looking stupid trying to attack me in this thread.

Okay, so explain to me how it works then?
3 into 2?
Just splitting the center rotor into the two turbos?
So now you got one strong pulse and one weak pulse...which are not even 180-degrees out-of-phase...
That's one fucked up way to push turbos.
You just shown your ignorance on rotary engines and turbo theory.
Why don't you do your research before you stuck you nose into things.

"Harder engineering"?
Dude, now you're reaching here just cause you got a personal beef with me.
There is no nice way to split 3 rotors into 2 turbos.
The pics show a really fucked up way just to try and execute this.
It's still a bad design, period.

Seriously...I didn't build the car for the ricer crowd.
If you think you're insulting me with idiotic comments like that, then you're smoking good ****.

Oh, and before you acuse people that they can or cannot fab ****, go reread the thread again...the OP bought the car like that.
At least I *BUILT* my car.

Who looks stupid now?

BTW, where's your 20B?
I don't I ever saw you post ANYTHING in here about a 20B project...

******' go away...

it just gives you more volume of pulses on the same turbo. Anyway, pulses are all fine and great but it doesnt trump volume and 1.5 rotors of seering hot exhaust is always going to trump 1 rotor worth. I certainly dont look stupid but feel free to keep trying.

Awwww look Teddy pulled out the...where is your 20b BS....it really brings back memories of back in the day when you would be a dick and people would say that to you and you would say that its irrelevant. lol Seems funny to see you using that same type of old worn out line now. Not everyone "needs" to spend all thier time on the forum either asking questions,or trying to make themselves feel special.

Why would I go away?

Claiming volume shows your ignorance on the subject.
I guess you like living in your own reality, huh?

Nice try to side step the question.
This is the 20B section.
I don't see your input having no relavance, period.
Sorry to hear you need this forum to make yourself feel special.

Why would I go away?
Ignorance is bliss, huh?
