Talking Oh boy, I'm happy!

My motor arrived today! All nice and pretty... Marvelspeed did an EXCELLENT job in packagin it. Came in a crate with plastic bands and foam wrapped all around it... lovely.

Anyhow, ITS HERE!!!

Today, we went on a road trip to find AN fittings to finish the fuel system. Then I put the clutch and pressure plate on and tried to figure out what to do with the oil metering pump... I have some pretty dope ideas on how to rig up some trick looking intake system for the stock twin turbos, but we'll see how that turns out tomorrow, or maybe the next day

Tomorrow, I'm going to relocated the battery, remove the front bumper and try to install my intercooler. Put the oil pan on the motor and clear coat some of the parts. I also found out I need to order the injector grommets for the primaries before I put this SOB 100% together Oh well... Mazdacomp will be gettin an overnight order to me on those

Well, I think thats all for today... this project is ON THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO! No 20B in the 1st-gen. Put it in a car that's already a tank like an FC

20:50 05-22-02 Update

No chance in HELL its going in the GSL-SE... First off, that car has a 13bt and a t04b in it... .secondly, its not even mine! It belongs to Zyounker, and I don't think he'd let me have it

*************************************

Well, I didn't get a LOT done today... I got those tires mounted, old wiring harness is now completely gone, I started to de-gunk the engine bay (man is there a LOT of grease and crap in there...), but I only got about 2/3 of the way done.

Its slow getting stuff done on your own

Tomorrow, I'll finish degunking and painting the engine bay... I WILL move the battery tomorrow, and the engine and other parts are getting clear coated as well... I also have some accessories that I need to clean (like the alternator) and others that just need painted (like the oil metering pump). I'm going to get all of that stuff done tomorrow... blah.

I'm tired. Time to watch TV

Dude, they're cheap, I think I paid $130 a piece for them..., and thats 17x9. They only had 30mm offset. The only reason I bought them is because its what I have up front... the line is discontinued and has been for 9 months or so, just happened that Discount Tires Direct's western warehouse had 21 of them in 17x9 with 30mm offset, so I thought I'd give it a try....

I hope they don't rub, I may have to roll the fenders... I'll figure it out when its running

I bought them in 18x8and 18x9 last year. They were $215/each. Like Kurgan said, they don't make them anymore. So I'm extra careful around potholes.

275's will rub with that offset. I have 275/35/18's on 18x9 with the same +30 mm offset. 255's should be ok.

Man, your car is coming along nicely! I read on your webpage you are thinking of putting in an HKS dogmission. Are you going to have 6 gears in that?
