New Thick Plate

Appears to be a solid piece of steel with CNC machined coolant passages. Still needs coolant seal grooves, but an interesting piece nonetheless. It certainly gives me hope about reproduction engine parts. One thing I would ask is how they are handling the center stationary gear/bearing on it.

Coolant and oil passages appear to be cast. Circumstantial evidence also points to cast as there is a mould parting line in the middle. If it was going to be all machined out then it'd be simpler to start with a solid ingot.

One thing that I see wasn't cast is intake ports.
