Moroso custom oil pan

ok ladies i contacted moroso yesterday to have them make a custom aluminum oil pan for my 20b/1st gen rx7 conversion.....i actually spoke to the guy that designed all the pans for Abel,Acosta racing, and the other 20b conversions out there....his price is about $600 for a "built from scratch" aluminum pan or he can modify ur stock 20b pan with steel for $300....he told me he did a few pans to work with pettit subframes, and he seems to know the workings of the 20b oiling system very well....i know for sure of one shop here in the NE that gets there pans from moroso for the above price and resells them for almost double...i'm taking the car to moroso next monday for fitment on the new pan, while im there the guys at the FAB shop will take measurements for a new redesign chromoly motor and tranny cross member....also he can build u a pan to work with either the 20b or 13b REW front cover... this guy has all the measurements and fitment issues taken care off already

So what all is different about the pan besides being able to use either front cover?

dude my motor sits far back and low down to the ground so the stock pan wont cut it....it'll be to low to the road (2") and it would hit the steering linkage..plus the new pan will have oil baffles and it'll be a stronger design to hold the motor together

so, for 300 they modify your existing oil pan? sounds kinda steep...I'm not doubting their quality, but the 20b to 13brew front cover is only off like 1/8 of an inch, and only needs slight modification to make it work i think...any pics of their custom and or modified pans? im still interested
