fuel systems

hello guys.

i am curious with a few things about fuel

first i am going to be running 550cc primaries and 1600cc bosh whites
i am going to be running a bosch 044 pump in the stock fc tank

i guess this is up for open discussion but my direct question is; what do i need as far as a fuel pressure regulator? can someone with experience reccomend a good regulator? i am assuming that i will need a raising rate regulator but i have never done anything with fuel beyond putting in 680cc secondaries and a walboro 255 pump in my stock turbo2 car.

other maybe useful info. b code 20b with stock ports, t72 turbo, 400hp at low boost is what i expect to make with this setup.

thanks for the hints, tips and help

stevensimon, could you do dual walbro 255 pumps? I mean you already have one.

Come to think of it, maybe one Bosch 044 would be best for you as yours mounts in-tank. Mine is external so I can do dual walbros I suppose.

Do they make an external 044?

I just welded AN fittings to the stock 20B rails. I dont think anyone makes direct fit 20B aftermarket ones, but you can get fuel rail extrusion from KG or Summit.... As for regulator that setup should be fine. Make sure to use large enough lines to take the flow.

I run dual walbros in the tank and it works fine for 600whp. I also highly recommend a in cabin fuel pressure gauge so that if you ever have pump issues you will know before you hurt anything.

Not sure if its after the fact now, but KG Parts has both primary and secondary aftermarket fuel rails.
I sent my LIM to KG Parts, so he could measure and make me some secondary rails and brackets, and I think he just got measurements for the primaries from a local stock block.

EDIT: I can't find them on his site, maybe call if your interested.
