dyno again

I had my car tuned by Steve Kan again on Saturday night. For some reason my car is afraid to go past 8.5psi on the dyno again.

Here is part 1
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=dyno

I have seen 10psi on my gauge before the dyno without cranking up the profec b like we did on the dyno. And right after the dyno i seen 10psi after turning it down just in case.

Time for a bigger wastegate spring.

Anyway here are the numbers.
5-6psi 397rwhp

8.5psi 419.8rwhp
320.4 torque

I haven't changed anything after the last dyno except i went from 18x7.5 with a 225 tire to what i have now 18x9.5 with a 275 tire

Steve did an amazing job again finding more power at the same amount of boost.

I will post the graph later

Wow, congrats on those numbers with those boost levels. You're running what i'm changine my setup too (GT42) and i'll stick with stock block for now. I'm really glad to see you getting down those results, i cant wait to see a higher boost run, i'm sure the motor has 500 in it with your boos issue fixed. What are the specs on your turbo? Spool time? I'm assuming that you're using the 1.15 a/r...

Here's something to think about. Imagine the difference in your boost response and power curve if you had rebuilt with 9.7 rotors and turbo exhaust sleeves. Your low 8.5 psi rwhp could be around 450 instead of 419.8.

I know...I've always heard of a 3K RPM range spooltime with the GT42, What hotside are you running on the turbo?

1.15
I don't have the dual ball bearing gt42

I kind of like it that late I do track days with my car and it hits just at the right time for me and my tire size.

I will post the graph tomorrow

Aren't guys with 2 rotors and a 42R hitting 1 bar by ~4.5k rpm?
With 50% more exhaust flow i would think we'd be much quicker than that. just did a little search, ErnieT said he hit "15psi by 4500rpm" when someone asked him how quick his spooled.

i was looking for aznfast's (not sure on the name) numbers but couldn't find it.

this doesn't seem right to me, even with non-bb. my goal is to have mine dyno'd by the end of the month, then i'll know for sure and post some numbers.
