Dyno

So I had my car tuned again by Steve Kan this weekend. Last year I made 540rwhp @ 13psi With ignition break. So with the new Msd Setup this year. It made 604rwhp @ 15psi and then the turbo blew. The MSD set up worked great.
Steve Was amazing again as always.

This was on a Dynapack.

I will post the dyno sheet tomorrow

Congrats! Any chance you could post the dyno sheet? I'm curious as to what the HP/TQ curves look like. Is the engine ported?

I used 2 MSD DIS-4's with the Blaster coil packs and it was basically flawless. I did have one issue on the dyno one time where they appeared to overheat or something and would not fire the coils until they cooled down for 30 minutes.

Good numbers though!

It wasn't the ball bearing one...

Just got a new ball bearing cartridge for the turbo so hope this one last.

The Gt4294 then? What Turbine housing did you use?

Have these turbo blown or why are you changing?

Well just put in the ball bearing cartridge today and took it for a ride. It is crazy..... It is worth the money for the ball bearing one... Just got home from taking it on the highway was going on the on ramp and put it in 3rd gear and put my foot into it bam!!!. 3rd gear blew.... So now i guess i have too much power for the stock transmission.

excellent power.!!!

Just out of curiousity? it seems the power hasnt started dropping off yet? any reason for not pushing more on the dyno? and possibly more boost?

Ya well the motor is not balanced or studded so I guess steve didn't want to take it any higher.. Was going to run another pound of boost but at 14psi the turbo let go...

It would be nice to see what the ball bearing turbo will do now...
