cooling for the 20b fd

what do you guys think obviously the 93-95 front end is more aerodynamic with out that front plate area and my state doesn't require a front plate. but it looks like the 99 spec front end looks like it provides better cooling. I cant decide which is better i own both so i've got my pick. what do you guys think and why? looks wise i do prefer the 93-95 front end but i do believe form should follow function. thanks in advance.

If you want to buy another one, they make a plateless version of the '99 bumper. Pretty sure Shine sells them.

What really matters for cooling is proper ducting and a kick *** efan with high CFM and low AMP draw when it's on.

AFCO twin pass radiator and Ford Tarun EFan setup works well, if you can squeeze it in the FD. It doesn't really matter what front bumper you have if your ducting sucks.

what kind of intercooler are you running? i dont want to go to, too big of an intercooler and block the radiator or do small and raise the air temps to high even though i will be using a water meth kit

I'm sure I remember that when the '99 model was released Mazda quoted something like 30% more airflow into the front of the car.

Here's the info

"Better air ducting for intercooler, air box 2.1, oil cooler 1.8, brake cooling duct 1.6 times bigger"

From this page : http://www.rx7.net.nz/fd-jp-models.html in the version 5 table

Also mentioned on this page : http://www.rx7.net.nz/newrx7.htm about halfway down after the description of the turbo differences.

I talked to Ari from rotary performance this weekend, He said that his trap speeds noticeably dropped when he started using the 99-02 front end. so i think im going to stay with the 93 front end. so anyone interested in buying my 99-02 front end.
